Sam, I would say the date at the top is when they appeared with all their papers in order to the priest. The date in the middle is the date of the dispensation to marry since they are related and the last is the actual date of the marriage which I think is 13 not 3. Sorry Sam, rushing out the door again. This marriage mostly follows the form, but there are a couple of discrepancies as you have pointed out. The marriage is January. I've seen some marriages during Lent that mention they are doing their Lenten thing, but January is not Lent. The date after the priest or bishop's name? I don't know. If I had to take a guess, that's the date he began serving the people there. As for the date at the bottom? Too much vinho? Marcio, PAF is old. It does not have some type of universal reader. PAF can only read PAF files and Gedcoms. So export your FTM file as a .ged and then open PAF and import the .ged into PAF. Gayle M, Yes, Gedcom it over from one genealogy program to another, regardless of the computer platform. Some genealogy programs can read directly from another, but PAF is too old. I think FamilySearch's new Family Tree is replacing this.
