Unfortunately, the flowery, gushing style, can make it difficult to figure out 
whether it is a yes or a no, a black or a white. You have no idea how long it 
takes me to compose a letter (in either language) to the Portuguese powers that 
be.
I just hope I can start researching again soon.

My Agueda's were first names. I haven't seen it as a surname before. Possible 
your ancestor adopted a female ancestors name as a surname but I hd it maybe a 
more common surname than I realize.
