I am trying to find the best way to install backuppc on my centos 6.3 box.
Everything I read is for Centos 5 and older so alot does not apply to the
new version. Anyone have any pointers or good sites? I tried just following
the readme in the tarball but backuppc won't start. Our old server is ubuntu
10.04 so that is no help either.
Add the EPEL repository to your yum config if you haven't already and:
yum install backuppc
It will save some trouble if you mount the archive partition you want
to use at /var/lib/BackupPC before the install.
Then follow the instructions in /etc/httpd/conf.d/BackupPC.conf to add
your web password.
