[Bacula-users] Volume confusion
Hi all. I've been using Bacula for a little over a year now, and I still don't understand something. Here's a snip of parts from my config: Pool { Name = Server1 Use Volume Once = yes Pool Type = Backup LabelFormat = Server1 AutoPrune = yes VolumeRetention = 8d Maximum Volumes = 9 Recycle = yes } Storage { Name = Server1 Address = x.x.x.x SDPort = 9103 Password = Device = Server1 Media Type = File } I wanted each file to be used only once so I can delete one backup if I needed space in a pinch. I thought that one backup would take one volume, but this isn't the case. I've got several backups for various clients that take multiple volumes. Why is this? Is there anyway to predict this or prevent this from happening? Thanks! --Brian _-=-_-=-_-=-_-=-_-=-_-=-_-=-_-=-_-=-_-=-_-=-_ Brian McCann Systems Network Administrator, K12USA I don't have to take this abuse from you -- I've got hundreds of people waiting to abuse me. -- Bill Murray, Ghostbusters - Using Tomcat but need to do more? Re: [Bacula-users] Volume confusion
If I'm not mistaken, Use Volume Once is deprecated. Use Maxiumum Volume Jobs = 1. Brian McCann wrote: Hi all. It should say why it needs the next volume. __Martin - Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
