I booted the Beaglebone with UART0 (like Graham suggested) and found out the
disk wasn't cleanly unmounted. Ran fsck and now the USB works again.

I got a new beagle bone and it looks like it was a h/w problem on the old
one (after finding both stretch & jessie images doing the same thing ... I
was beginning to wonder, so I ordered a new BBB).

Very annoying ...! that's 3 BBBs I have gone through in this USB flashing
saga. 2 just stopped powering up and this one acting weird.

Sorry for the alarm.

[beagleboard] Re: Porting application from BeagleBone Black to Pocket Beagle

2018-09-07 Thread vtrandal
Very very good question from the OP here. I too would like to know more
about porting applications to the Pocket Beagle. In fact I am so interested
I am inclined to give it a try myself. I have a couple BeagleBone Blue
boards that I just got. Clearly, the BB Blue comes with resources not
included on the PocketBeagle. What this question needs is a straightforward
explanation of common resources found on BB Blue, BB Black, and the
PocketBeagle for which a class of applications will run on all of these
boards.

 I have an application running at startup of Beaglebone but after
 15minutes, I want after the board is connected, my application will be
 running with an url : 192.168.7.2:5000/app quickly like cloud9.

If I understand correctly, you don't want to run an application on
boot but after 15 Min.
Maybe this is easier to accomplish with crontab: Simply ad a line to
/etc/crontab

@reboot some_user sleep 900 ; /path_to/myscript

Where some_user can be root or any other user

FWIW: Without btrfs, I see the same network problems.

If someone worked with mesh module please suggest the best way which to

u-boot?

[beagleboard] Issue updating U-Boot to the microSD card

2018-09-07 Thread An Ra

Hello,

I am trying to boot up my custom board by bypassing the board ID check.
Therefore, I am following this guide to update u-boot and install it on a
microSD card that has Debian Stretch IoT 9.4.
All the steps till step 6 worked fine. So, I was able to build the new
u-boot. The lsblk command showed that my memory card is called 'sdd'.

After typing:

$ export DISK=/dev/sdd
$ sudo dd if=./u-boot/MLO of=${DISK} count=1 seek=1 bs=128k

This showed up:
dd: failed to open './u-boot/MLO': Not a directory

Any ideas how to solve this issue?
