Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] REPOST: Deezer Search only returns 25 albums for any artist
Hi michael, there il also a limitation on top ten chart: I can see only 10 songs (deezer top ten has 100 songs) see Hmm... who is to blame? My English teacher or my French teacher? I seriously thought that the correct translation for ten was 10, not 100! Maybe my translating from English to German to French introduced a rounding error. Thanks for the heads up! I'll update my dictionary. :-P -- Michael ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta

Hi michael, there il also a limitation on top ten chart: I can see only 10 songs (deezer top ten has 100 songs) see Marco - checked our code again. We don't limit the number of tracks to 10, but request 200 items like anywhere else. We give you all that what we get back from Deezer. -- Michael ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta

Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] 7.9 Problems/Bugs
There's a problem with artist roles in the player status. I often get the composer instead of the track artist or the album artist in the main artist field. Without digging the code I suspect there's a problem with the main_contributor in the tracks table. I guess that was introduced at some point to prevent excessive lookups in the contributors table, but isn't always correctly set. I'll look into this. -- Michael ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta

[SlimDevices: Beta] Problems with 7.90 on EL 7 (CentOS 7)
Hi, I've rebuilt the Squeeze Community Fedora 21 RPMs for EL7 (see 'here' (http://www.squeezecommunity.org/repo/el/7/testing/x86_64/)) and I'm seeing a few problems. I hope this is the best place to report them. The version I'm working with is v7.9.0, 0.64.20150206git1423154751. First big issue is that logging doesn't seem to be working right so I can't dig any deeper into the other issues. I see logging when the server starts, but nothing after that. I guess I really need to fix that before I can debug the other issues. The other issues are: 1. scan aborting with some badly-formed images 2. normal search not returning any results, often followed by the server going unresponsive (100% CPU and has to be restarted). Advanced search seems to work OK. Can anyone offer any suggestions? R. Net-UDAP is free software - you do not have to pay for it. First big issue is that logging doesn't seem to be working right so I can't dig any deeper into the other issues. I see logging when the server starts, but nothing after that. I guess I really need to fix that before I can debug the other issues. Please check with the packager. 1. scan aborting with some badly-formed images Could you please send me a sample file? Are these embedded images (in the audio file) or stand alone? 2. normal search not returning any results, often followed by the server going unresponsive (100% CPU and has to be restarted). Advanced search seems to work OK. Are you using the fulltext search (fts) plugin? What kind of keyword would you be using? Do you really have to restart it, or would it recover after some time? What library size? What hardware to run LMS on? Did you enable the high memory settings? Please make sure you're running the latest and greatest code, as I've just committed a few tweaks to the FTS plugin which should make search in large libraries more responsive. -- Michael ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta

pippin wrote: BTW: this post http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?51929-iPeng-support-threadp=807478viewfull=1#post807478 shows that the problem is not limited to the player status query but also happens when requesting a track list (for an album). The relevant query I use there is: Code: titles 0 100 sort:tracknum tags:Aaltedio album_id: Interesting here is that the wrong artists obviously gets picked even though in this case I _do_ request all artist roles. They're both using the same code. I think the returned artist is either random, or depends on the internal ID of the role. It surely doesn't follow a rule you'd expect... I'm not 100% sure yet how to fix this correctly. But most likely in the cases where we only request on artist for a track (a), we should be using the primary_artist. Other than what I thought this seems to be set correctly during the scan, but is not respected in those queries. I have a change here which would fix the issue reported. I only hope it doesn't break other functionality... On a very related note: are you updating the metadata shown in the playlist view as soon as a track is being played? I've noticed that when the list is being loaded, you'd only show the one artist. Then, once a track is being played, you show artists of all (or some) roles in the NP screen. At the same time the display in the playlist view would update to show those artists, too: 17415 Tracks 1, 2, and 4 have been played. They show the track artist as well as the album artist. 3 and the others haven't been played. They only show the track artist (5 10 have the same value for track and album artist). +---+ |Filename: 2015-02-17 12.02.30.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=17415| +---+ Michael http://www.herger.net/slim-plugins - MusicArtistInfo, MusicInfoSCR, Smart Mix mherger's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=50 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101516 ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
