PHP files are web scriptting/programming files:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Php

Don't think you really need to install wordpress on your machine as such,
but, have never used it/looked into it, but this wikipedia page might also
give you more info about it, how to use it, etc.:

2012-06-19 Thread Brad Dunse
There might be a shorter way, not sure:

Go to the File Tab, ALT F

Arrow to Info

then tab once to your account and press enter

Tab to you hear Account Settings and press enter

You'll hear Account settings again, press enter againThen you'll land on an
email tab

Tab in the toolbar to you hear Change and press enter

Tab until you hear More settings and press enter

Shift Tab then arrow right to Advance and tab until you see the option for
leaving it on the server

It's in there

[Blind-Computing] Importing Outlook Express Into Windows Live

2012-06-19 Thread Deb Caldbeck
Hi, I have a friend who needs to know how to import his address book from
Outlook Express to Windows Live. He is using Windows 7, IE 9 and NVDA. Not
sure what version of Windows Live he's using. Could someone please advise
how to do this, as I don't use Windows Live.

Hello There;

It's my understanding;
If your wanting to burn a data CD, you can burn through the windows explorer,
And it's very much like the xp burn utility; However, if your wanting to burn a
audio cd, you'll need to use another program.

Applies to all editions of Windows 7.

Burn a CD or DVD in Windows Explorer

If your computer has a CD or DVD burner, you can copy files to a writable disc.
This process is called burning a disc. Windows burns discs in the Live File
System format or in the Mastered format, depending on which disc format you
choose. For more information about deciding which format you should choose when
burning a disc, see Which CD or DVD format should I use?

The following procedures explain how to use Windows Explorer to burn a data
disc (a type of disc that is useful for storing, archiving, and sharing files
among different computers and devices). If you want to create other types of
discs, such as a DVD-Video disc (to play in a regular DVD player) or an audio
CD (to play in a regular CD player), you’ll need to use a different program or
feature of Windows.

David,
  yes, i’m new at burning a cd, so to navigate windows explorer, windows key
+ e (my computer), to get to my optical drive, is this right, I hear:
  hard disk drive, open, e machine ( c: )
  Devices with removable storage, closed
  I did the application key on both of these, and no burn came up. I thought I
heard that a cd was burnned on the d drive?

A CD is an optical disk there for it is placed in an optical drive.

David,
I can see that this process will work but can't you locate the "Burn"
option right on the wizard's main page, press on it and the CD will burn?
That would seem to me to be a less complex approach.

Hello the easiest way to do this is;

1, place a blank CD into the drive.
If a wizard comes up, just press alt+f4.

2, navigate to your music folder,
Now select the music you want to burn to disk/DVD, Press the applications
key, up arrow and enter on, Send-to sub-menu, Up or down arrow and enter on
the CD/DVD drive.

Note most likely a wizard will come up.
The screen will be something like this;

   Burn a Disc
   How do you want to use this disc?
   Disc title: June 18 2012
   Like a USB flash drive
   Save, edit, and delete files on the disc anytime. The disc will work on
computers running Windows XP or later. (Live File System) With a CD/DVD
player Burn files in groups and individual files can't be
   edited or removed after burning. The disc will also work on most
   computers. (Mastered) Which one should I choose?
   Next Cancel

   So, you would tab and enter on,
   Next button,

give a little time yo

Re: [Blind-Computing] anyone use the Windows 7 default CD burnner?

2012-06-19 Thread David
Hello;
The steps for using the windows XP Burn Utility

1, place CD into drive, and close the drawer.

2, navigate to the folder which contains the files you wish to burn.

3, select all the files,
Then press the applications key,
Up arrow to send-to sub-menu,
Press enter,
Now arrow and select your drive and press enter.
The files will be placed into the CD drive.
Note, you will most likely receive indication that you have files waiting to be
written to disc, or something like this.

4, navigate to desktop,
Enter on my computer,
Enter on your CD Drive,
You should see the files your going to burn.

5, here you can either press the applications key,
Or alt+f=file,
And enter on burn files to disc.

Now a wizard will come up,
you'll need to select the type of cd, audio or data,
and go to next.
Once you've completed the wizard, the burn process should start.

Hope this helps.

If your wanting to burn a data cd;

1, place DVD or CD into the drive and close the drawer.

2, navigate to the folder which contains the data which you wish to burn to DVD
or, CD.

3, select all the files you're wanting to burn to media,

4, press the applications key, up arrow and enter on send-to sub-menu, Now you
need to enter on the DVD/CD drive.
Or the shortcut keystroke would be,

Press the letter "n" twice,
This places you on the send-to sub-menu, Now enter and select and enter on the
drive.
You most likely hear;
Files are waiting to be written to disc or something like that.

5, now if you press alt+f=file,
You may land on the burn button, or, you may need to up/down arrow and enter on
the burn button.
A wizard will come up,
Something like,

Hello There;

It's my understanding;

David,
 yes, i'm new at burning a cd, so to navigate windows explorer, windows key
+ e (my computer), to get to my optical drive, is this right, I hear:
 hard disk drive, open, e machine ( c: )
 Devices with removable storage, closed
 I did the application key on both of these, and no burn came up. I thought
I heard that a cd was burnned on the d drive?

A CD is an optical disk there for it is placed in an optical drive.

David,
I can see that this process will work but can't you locate the "Burn"
option right on the wizard's main page, press on it and the CD will burn?
That would seem to me to be a less complex approach.

1, place a blank CD into the drive.
If a wizard comes up, just press alt+f4.

2, navigate to your music folder,
Now select the music you want to burn to disk/DVD, Press the applications
key, up arrow and enter on, Send-to sub-menu, Up or down arrow and ent
