Re: [Blind-Computing] Old Menus with New MS-Office
When trying to install the Excel ad on, it only offers me a enable or disable macros option. I clicked on the enable macro option and found the 2003 menu under the new add-on tab in Excel, but it does not appear to change the menus when I click on it. Got any suggestions? My brother and I are having a disagreement as to how they work, or utilize the capabilities. I am saying that the four cores split the processor speed by four, where as the argument of my brother suggests that the core quadruples the processor speed. For example, if a quad core is rated at 2.83 GHz, it will divide that number by four, so in essence, what you have are four cores running at 0.775 GHz, or 775 MHz per core. My brother doesn't think so, so I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on this or not? Any help would be appreciated. Re: [Blind-Computing] jaws and comcast
I had a similar problem and found that the below steps worked. Go to IE tools and Options, control tab to security page, tab to Custom level button, tap space bar to open it, tap A to move to Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls, down aero to and tap space bar to turn on (enable), tab to apply and enter and then to OK and enter again. Now try installing the Flash Player again and see if you can load the page. You can now put the Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls back to disable so as not to get the annoying prompt. - Original Message - From: Nimer Jaber [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Sent: Friday, November 09, 2007 1:00 PM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] jaws and comcast No idea then. Know problem glad to help. - Original Message - From: Siobhan [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Sent: Friday, November 09, 2007 1:26 PM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] jaws and comcast Hey that worked, thank you very much, I was getting very annoyed with it. Thanks again. smile - Original Message - From: ANDREW GODWIN [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Sent: Friday, November 09, 2007 1:14 PM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] jaws and comcast I had a similar problem and found that the below steps worked. My only guess is it thinks Flash isn't installed because it got installed in the wrong location. It still could be a plugin prolem. I have no idea. If I visit Comcast.net and use the fan to view a news story, it tells me I need flash nine and to go download it. However I have the full installer here and I've used it a few times to make sure that I have the right thing set in here. So my question is this something for comcast to deal with, or am I screwing up something. I have the file if anyone wants it. - Original Message - From: Nimer Jaber [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Sent: Friday, November 09, 2007 12:14 PM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] jaws and comcast I haven't gotten a thing about comcast and JAWS. Re: [Blind-Computing] sorting table items with Jaws
Be sure that your curser is not in the first row be fore opening the sort dialog box. Now when tabbing around the dialog box you will then see a option to include or not include a header row. - Original Message - From: Jamie S [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Sent: Thursday, October 11, 2007 11:29 AM Subject: [Blind-Computing] sorting table items with Jaws Hi, I am working with a student who is trying to create an address table in MS Word 2003. He is using Jaws 8.0. I am trying to show him how to sort the last name field so all of the names are in alphabetical order, but when I do this the heading row gets included in the sort. Also he still has some blank rows left when I show him this and the blank rows end up on top. Can someone explain why this would happen. Also is there a way not to have the heading row not included in doing a sort in MS word? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
