For Christmas my folks are going to get me a Victor Stream or a comparable device. I really don't know a lot about which players are the best on the market, but I've heard the most about the Victor Stream and will most likely go with that one. I'm looking for advice on where to purchase one and what site might have the best deal on prices, etc? I want to make the best economical purchase, or I should say my folks' purchase, possible. I figure I should also keep in mind any potential warrantees, repair policies, etc. Things sure have a habit of breaking. Any other thoughts on the matter are welcome. Thanks and happy holidays. How can there be such a discrepancy in results between Auslogics Disk Defrag and the Windows Defrag utility? Since Outlook Express and Windows Mail are not available in Windows7, people are forced to switch to something. FS has scripts for Live Mail in JAWS 10 and 11, but they have lots of flaws. The JAWS 10 scripts actually work better for me than JAWS 11. I can not even read mail with JAWS 11! I need to switch to JAWS 10 every time I want to read mail. This gets very agravating! The scripts for JAWS 10 are less annoying and my biggest complaint is that it will not announce unread or indicate when there is an enclosure. FS is very aware of the problem, do not seem interested in fixing the problems or even admitting that they have scripts for Live Mail. They seem to think that everybody should dish out more money for Outlook, since that is what all of their corporate accounts require. I am seriously thinking of switching to Thunderbird 3 as well, and I have more interesting things to do than play around with a mail program. I have downloaded the program, but have other things to do. I understand the glamour of being able to identify one's self as a non-conformist and hence using tools other than those provided by Microsoft, but considering the difficulties I've seen on various lists I wouldn't touch any of these tools with someone else's screen reader. Obviously, JAWS has been developed and delivered complete with strong support files to interact with Internet Explorer and any of the Microsoft e-mail clients. I presume the same can be said for WindowEyes. So, why not not use what works best given the framework of needing to use a screen reader? I guess, that since I was a software developer for so many years, I find no personal satisfaction in being able to say I am not a conformist. I just want to use what works the best given my limitations. If the reason for using the non-Microsoft tools is enhanced security, then why not take the entire plunge and move to Linux?
