Re: [Blind-Computing] startup menue in W7
Well, while I have 3 computers, they're mine, so sighted people are limited to what I'll even let them try doing... As in if they ask me if they can check their webmail, I will turn off jaws etc., but aside from that, they don't honestly get to do much more than have me show them things, or copy things for them, etc., and if someone like my mother asks me to help her with something on her computer, I'll either just give her a quick answer, or do something like plug my portable NVDA flash drive in and look into it myself, etc. Other 'funny' one is to boot some sighted person's computer up from my bootable Ubuntu vinux flash drive, since they then don't even recognise their own computer, but that's more of a joke I might play on them, etc. Stay well Jacob Kruger Blind Biker Skype: BlindZA '...fate had broken his body, but not his spirit...' - Original Message - From: "Don Marang" To: Sent: Thursday, July 07, 2011 7:46 PM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] startup menue in W7 I don't understand how anybody with sight can realistically use JAWS. Ok, on start menu, I arrow up once from search box, arrow right once, arrow down like twice, and hit S T quickly, and it highlights the startup menu item, right arrow to expand it, and there you might find items set to start up automatically on windows startup. Hi, John, I don't blame you for being careful when it comes to letting just anybody use your computer. Sometimes you even have to be careful with some family members. One time I had a sighted nephew work on my computer and when I asked him what he was doing, he wouldn't tell me. He never put porn sites on my computer or anything like that but it still bugs me when they don't tell you what they're doing.
