Haha, I accidentally replied to Jean-Christophe instead of asking a general
question I believe. Anyway, I sorted it out :).

Steve Wheeler is the other person who replied to me.

Sure, but the main page has a link to the git hosting system and there is no
link there either. It shouldn't be necessary to ask here to get a link to the
alpha sources :)

it is marked as 'alpha' - that means it is not ready yet and possibly
buggy - so that is why it is not shown on the main page

Nice ! :)

Maybe that's information to add to the https://www.gnu.org/software/gnuzilla/
page ?

Thank you Bill.

I just read that Steve Wheeler was using IceCat 60, but I'm only seeing 52.6 on
the gnu FTP.
Is it just about getting the source from the git repository and then proceeding
with the build process ?

the first thing that leaps to mind is that icecat is built upon the
'ESR' releases - firefox developer edition is a different browser,
released nightly - so even if you succeed at this it would really not
be "icecat" - it would probably better to use the abrowser or
iceweasel recipes, depending on what distro you runl but those may not
be compatible with the nightly release version either - in any case,
this would probably need some expertise and tweaking
