At first, I'd like to try to revert these two:

and see if the problem still exists. Unfortunately I'm not capable of creating
Windows build.

Trying to find out where the problem is. This issue occured between 2.19.18
and 2.19.19. Here's ChangeLog:

http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=lilypond.git;a=log;h=refs/tags/release/2.19.19-1

The issue occurs on Windows only.

Which patch is likely to be the cause of this?

Hello,

From the Contributor Guide:

--snip--

Type-Critical: normally a regression against the current stable version
or the previous stable version. Alternatively, a regression against a
fix developed for the current version. This does not apply where the
“regression” occurred because a feature was removed deliberately - this
is not a bug.

Currently, only Critical items will block a stable release.

--snip--

So as I see it unless this behaviour is worse/different compared to
earlier released versions *across those same platforms* - i.e. the
behaviour is the not same as it has always been *across those same
platforms* then it is not critical. Just very annoying, as are all bugs.

2_19_21 gives me some odd 'assert' error just trying to run LP (which

Hi All,

Form some reason, the alignment is now correct for the full score.
Trying to find out what's happening, I've added a tablature and discovered
that the problem remains only for the 'moderntab' clef.
I've tried to reproduce that in a tiny example without success so here are
some screen shots.

Hi Squad,

When many grace notes, staves are miss aligned:

%%
\version "2.19.27"

\transpose c c' {
   \repeat unfold 16 { e'8 a }
   R1*8
}

\transpose c c' {
   \repeat unfold 16 { \grace dis'8 e' \grace gis8 a }
   R1*8
}
%%

Huh? That example demonstrates that measures with many grace notes in
them will take more space than _independently_ typeset measures

without

the grace notes in them.

Which is not surprising at all. What is the misalignment you are
talking about?

I think this is what he meant (first as separate scores, then in the
same score):

The notes line up, but the second system doesn't break/compress like it
should.

Well, stuff lines up perfectly on my system. So where's the difference?
64-bit system vs 32-bit (the latter would be mine)? Different fonts
(less likely)?

Sounds like it might be OS-specific. I'm on Windows 7, 64-bit, LilyPond
2.19.27, using default fonts.

Everything fine with me:
Ubuntu 14.04, 64-bit, Lily 2.19.27, default fonts as well.

I think this is what he meant (first as separate scores, then in the
same score):

The notes line up, but the second system doesn't break/compress like it
should.

Grace notes and staff miss-alignment

2015-09-22 Thread Pierre Perol-Schneider
>I'm not top posting

Hi Squad,

When many grace notes, staves are miss aligned:

%%
\version "2.19.27"

\transpose c c' {
  \repeat unfold 16 { e'8 a }
  R1*8
}

\transpose c c' {
  \repeat unfold 16 { \grace dis'8 e' \grace gis8 a }
  R1*8
}
%%

Cheers,
Pierre
