I apologize for the short notice.

 

Recovery still continues in Houston from Hurricane Harvey. Several club
members are still displaced living in apartments and with relatives. It is
trying and difficult times but at least one bright light is on - The Astros
won the World Series!

 

I hope everyone is getting things cleaned up and moving forward. I will try
and keep the meetings short to just get everyone back to other important
issues at hand. 

 

Don't forget the chili supper and elections next Thursday!

He has a reputation. Honestly, I’ve been interrogated by the FBI for days
at a time to get a security clearance back in the day. I would gladly be

During Harvey, I manned HF and provided a liaison between Harris EOC and
the state EOC. This method of having the HF station be “stand off” from the
actual EOC and using 2m/440 between them is part of the plan we developed
in NC ARES. It gives the HF operator better room to manage the radios
without being inside the melee that is the EOC.



I have been purchasing old radios and attempting to fix them. I’m getting
too old and my health is not so good. I would love to have a new station
with radios and gear that is under warranty for a change!



I’ve selected a complete Elecraft station plus upgrades to the antennas.
