If you want to come to work in Andorra it would be nice to learn catalan as
it is the official language. It's not very difficult to learn, specially if
you have some notions of french.
For the second question. First of all The Horchata de Chufa is originally
form Valencia, not Catalunya, and you can find it everywhere in Spain. In
Andorra is more normal to find it in the summer, as it was originally a
refreshing summer drink. Nearly every bar has it, fresh or bottled.

Cheers
Beth

This is my first E~mail to your website so if I am doing anything wrong
forgive me! I have 2
questions - 1 is important and the other more trivial. No.1 Would you agree
that the Catalan language would be the best for me to study and if so can
you recommend a suitable study method?
Question 2. Many years ago while on holiday in Barcelona I became very fond
of a drink called Horchata de.Chuva (I think I have the correct spelling!)
Is this a Catalan drink known to anyone at your website?
Thank you for your kind welcome.Regards from David Kyd

how's the road to andorra? i was suposed to go there today and i heard
there's a lot of snow and the roads are closed. can you give me some
information on that?

I don't have any up to the minute information but I hope the following
may help.

You have doubtless read of the widespread disruption caused in southern
France and Catalonia by the snowfall on December 14th. This was news
because there was snow at much lower altitude than is normal.

When there is snowfall, the roads to Andorra may be closed for short
periods or vehicles without snow chains may be turned back. When there
are problems, overhead signs will warn you of them well before you get
to Andorra. Normally the road to Andorra is cleared very quickly as
road access is vital to Andorra's economy. I would *guess* that by now
the road will be open again.

The French have recently discontinued overnight clearance of the Col de
Puymorens. However, to compensate for this, the Andorrans have taken
over clearance of the road between Pas de la Casa and l'Hospitalet so
that access to Andorra from the Ariège valley is unaffected.

How incredibly cool, if true!

Not to mention extraordinarily civilized!

But for such a small population you appear to have enough courts. What is the story?
