Re: [casper] FFT on ROACH

2010-08-30 Thread Mark Wagner
Hi Andrea,

The first thing I would do is delete the fft and replace it with one from
your updated library, using the same parameters of course. If you're still
having the problem, I would try running the mask script from the matlab
command prompt to get a more verbose output. To see how the mask script is
called, right click on the block and select 'view mask,' then select the
'initialization' tab.

Do you have the casper_library directory in your MATLAB path? You
can check by typing...

which fft_biplex_real_2x_init

...at the MATLAB prompt. If this is not found, then you do need to
add the casper_library directory to your MATLAB path using the
"addpath" function. If it is found, then you can try to invoke that
init function manually (look at the mask init commands to get an idea
of how to invoke it) and see what errors, if any, you get.

Hope this helps,
Dave

hi andrea,

you might be interested in other roach based seti systems:

laura spitler ported the 128 million channel bee2 seti spectrometer
to roach, and terry filiba developed a roach/GPU seti spectrometer,
where roach digitizes data, breaks it up into sub-bands using a polyphase
filter bank, and sends each sub-band to a cpu/gpu for high resolution
spectroscopy.

best wishes,
