I know that I can modify the script, save it under different name and then
 upload it as another script.

But my question is can i modify a system script and still call it as

Yes you can. However it is better to
open a script and then save it under

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] 2651xm and MGCP gateway - Problem solved,

2011-07-27 Thread steven moran
Larry,

my error was really basic - although I have been in the video space for many
years - this is my first foray into the world of voice and Cisco. Basically
when configuring the mgcp gateway in cucm web page I added the 2651xm router
as 26XX, I then added the AIM voice 30 (2 subunits) to slot 0 and added my
vwic 2mft e1 card to subunit 1 (subunit 0 is occupied by my serial port).
Upon saving, this presents you with 2 ports to configure 0/0 and 0/1 - this
is where my ignorance led me astray - I assumed that these ports represented
the 2 ports of my E1 card, as I had only the first port connected I
configured this for use by my gateway - which of course failed. George very
quickly pointed out that these ports do not refer to ports 1 and 2 of my
vwic card but to the serial port (0/0) and the E1 port (0/1). Once this was
done it all worked as expected (I had the rest of the config correct).

I hope my stupidity can help someone else, however it was not all wasted as
I learnt a hell of lot about collecting and analysing debugs and traces.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] UCCX system script

2011-07-27 Thread Ccielaba A
Victor,

Check this link on the cisco support forum

https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/2013159

they say that it is a bug however i can not find this bug in the bug toolkit.

Randall,

I disagree with you.

You may be asked to MODIFY the script for the existing application and that
script is a system script. Would you copy a system script, modify and upload
it as a new non-system script? Then you may be breaking the requirements of the
task because strictly speaking you are creating a new script rather than
modifying existing one.

Or is it the only way you can modify the system script and it is just a tricky
question? You need to know that in advance. Time is everything is the lab.

I have one but the config isn't available to me until I get back home, I do
know when starting your proctor lab session if you select the hardware VPN
option, a link to a working config as well as the steps to initiate the

2011-07-27 Thread Ashraf Ayyash
Hello Joe ,

i think the transcorder work as MTP when you allocate it and that's
why you get it working , (of course, no logs=assumptions)
but have you tried to invoke any supplementary service in the case
when you had XCODER allocated ? see if it will work

-can you try to enable MTP ( for the G711u calls (no worry if you use
SW MTP because your call based on G711u ) and test the behavior ?

its always worked for me , its only start being naughty when i
configure VIAZONE and i got it fixed one time by allocating IOS HQ MTP

check those points out and let us now how it will go

Thanks
Ash

Hello William , Joe

the default on the is SS not FS and if you enable FS for the outgoing
calls on the CCM you will always need MTP otherwise the option will be
grad out ,

MTP will fix this issue , can you please try to not enable FS and
allocate MTP and test and then enable FS on both the CCM and the GW
and try as well ,

to enable FS on the GW you need to add :
voice service voip
h323
call start fast

this will isolate the issue .

Note :
if the CCM will fail to negotiate FS , it wil fall back to use SS
automatically , you can see this clearly in the CCM SDI/SDL traces

   Yes you can.
  However it is better to
open a script and then save it
  under
a different name in the same folder. Also you save a
  step
  of uploading
  script.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Urgent: CUE upgrade issue

2011-07-27 Thread Kshitij Singhi
Hi Moustafa,

You are missing a couple of files. One of them is the language specific
langpack (along with the one already there - should have something like
en_US in the name) and there is another file (coz I remember there being 6
files in all) but don't remember the name of the file.

If the CUE version is not showing 7.0.6, then something went wrong during
the upgrade. Issue the software upgrade command once again after adding
the two files mentioned above, and log all the output to a .txt file if
things fail. Along with that, send across a show invent from the router in
question. Also, see if a clean install helps.

  Best regards

That is usually the result of fast start not being enabled. I would also
try mtp required if that alone does not fix it.

Did you mean what version of the lab they are currently testing on? Its
version 3. Like everyone else has said, 1. They don't number there LABS and
 2. It's a violation of the NDA to post a question like this.
