[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Vol2 Lab7: DISA Dialing can't get 3.1 and 3.2 to play together
Problem: in Vol2 Lab7 DISA Dialing tasks 3.1 and 3.2 I can get either of them to work separately but not together. Any thoughts? Task 3.1: when the Remote Destination calls in, show the CLID as the Remote Destination# and not the Mobility User 4D extension. Solution: Configure a special CSS-SNR-3002 for the RDP CSS: this CSS contains the partition PT-SNR-3002 which has a sole translation pattern: pattern: partition: PT-SNR-3002 css: CSS-internal use Calling Party External Mask: check digit manipulation: --nil-- When the RD calls in to an internal DN, the pattern is matched and the CLID is changed from 3002 to +447976852817 (the RD#). Task 3.2: Configure DISA dialing at the IVR menu. Solution: once the RDP CSS contains the translation pattern from 3.1 it breaks any sort of DISA dialing. If I change the RDP CSS to the CSS of the Branch2 phones (no 3.1 translation pattern), all onward dialing works - internal DNs all the way to international calls. The moment I have any sort of translation pattern in the RDP CSS I cannot invoke onward dialing: I get through the IVR, press 1, dial NUMBER# and nothing - the connection is severed. I.e., the RDP CSS has the translation pattern, to allow onward dialing I add the same partitions in the Branch2 phones Device CSS. Theoretically I should now be able to onward dial to internal DNs and all external patterns. But this fails completely. If I remove the translation pattern CSS of 3.1 and replace it with CSS-internal that sees all internal DNs, everything works. So somehow the translation pattern which swaps out the ANI is interfering with onward dialing. BTW in System Parameters I have changed the Remote Destination CSS setting to RDP+Line CSS as recommended in the DSG. ___ For more information regarding industry leading CCIE Lab training, please visit www.ipexpert.com Are you a CCNP or CCIE and looking for a job? [OSL | CCIE_Voice] pstn-wan not passing RDNIS
Dear all, I am trying to get the mailbox on br1phn2 to redirect across the PSTN when there is AAR invoked. This works but I get the generic message. On the PSTN WAN router ISDN Q931 debug (below) I can see the 3 legs of the call, first the call to 8631002, 2nd is the incoming from BR1 MGCP gateway with the redirect number present (1002) and 3rd the call out to HQ missing the redirect number. Both the HQ and BR1 Gateways are MGCP, BR1 has the redirecting number outbound selected and HQ has the redirecting number inbound selected. Both Gateways have been reset, routers reloaded and even CUCM restarted. Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] pstn-wan not passing RDNIS - solved
Dear all, The issue was quite simple in the end – the PSTN int ser 0/0:15 needed to have the cmd isdn outgoing ie redirecting-number I am not sure why this is not in the initial IPExperts config for lab for the PSTN WAN router. Ah well – all’s well……. Best regards, Steve ___ For more information regarding industry leading CCIE Lab training, please visit www.ipexpert.com Are you a CCNP or CCIE and looking for a job? [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Vol 1 LAB 5.2 -- SoS
Greetings to all: I seek help from those who have tread the path. Workbook Volume 1, lab 5.2 and have am already stuck :( Followed the PG and the walk through video with little success. Question 5.2 - All calls from UCM phones to Emergency Services must be routed out of the Local gateway. - Emergency Services can be dialed by entering 9-1-1 - The ANI should be in full E168 format - the +, country code and the national digits should be sent to the PSTN - You should configure the phones such that the telephone number in the top right of the screen of the phone displays the full E164 number 1) Created the RG, RL, RP as per guide 2) Added Local Route Group to Device Pools 3) voice translation-rule 911 rule 1 /^1/ /+1/ ! voice translation-profile ANI-OUT translate calling 911 4) dial-peer voice 911 pots translation-profile outgoing ANI-OUT destination-pattern 911 port 0/0/0:23 forward-digits all 5) HQ-RTR#sh isdn stat Global ISDN Switchtype = primary-ni ISDN Serial0/0/0:23 interface dsl 0, interface ISDN Switchtype = primary-ni Layer 1 Status: ACTIVE Layer 2 Status: TEI = 0, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED Layer 3 Status: 0 Active Layer 3 Call(s) 6) Using None partition. (Also tried with pt-nanp-911) = When I dial 911 on HQ Phone 2, I get like busy tone. Apparently, the call doesn't reach the Gateway, and so there is no debug result. = The Gateways and the phone configurations are fine. No partitions used in phones. Routers have been reloaded too. = When i remove all the above and simply put the dial-peer 911, I can make 911 calls from any phone to the PSTN. I can also call from the PSTN. Any suggestion or tips would be thankful. Voiper ___ For more information regarding industry leading CCIE Lab training, please visit www.ipexpert.com Are you a CCNP or CCIE and looking for a job?
