Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] WAN qos question

2011-12-05 Thread Michael Miller
"1.) I thought IOS would refuse attaching a class to a dlci without frts on
the physical interface."

In my experience, it is possible to enable FRTS on a PVC, but you may
receive a warning message. If I remember correctly, the message simply
states that FRTS commands are required on the physical interface. I
wouldn't be surprised if the behavior differs between versions of IOS
and MQC vs. legacy FTS, though.

Thanks,

Michael

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] WAN qos question

2011-12-05 Thread CCIELabRat
I ran into a problem the other day that has me confused.
I ran auto qos on the hq side, changed values as needed and pasted the
modified policy in the hq router.
I then took the same policy and pasted it into the SB router config and
bound it to the dlci.
All seemed to be ok until I tried to get phones registered.
I could get a dhcp address but never register.

I knew something with the WAN qos was screwed up.
I've done it to myself in practice and in the real lab.

It turns out that I didn't have frts on the physical interface.
Once I put it on, everything started working.

My questions are:

1.) I thought IOS would refuse attaching a class to a dlci without frts on
the physical interface.
2.) Without frts configured on the physical interface, wouldn't the class
assignment on the dlci (384k) effectively be ignored?

I know what the config problem was, but I understand what it was actually
causing to happen at the Pvc level.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] CUCME Af31

2011-12-05 Thread datucha123 datucha123
Hello,

Do we need to configure the DSCP Mutation maps for CUCME site, as the CUCME
IP Phones are marking the signaling traffic with AF31. Well actually in my
LAB installation I am using IOS version 12.4(22)T and my IP Phones are
already sending SCCP with CS3.
And what about the real exam?

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] CUE Integration

2011-12-05 Thread Priyank Kiran
What drives as to how the CUE will integrate with CME or UCM - the type of
license installed on the CUE?

I was working on the ProctorLabs rack over the weekend and the task was to
integrate CUE with BR2 CME. However when I ran the initialization wizard on
the CUE GUI, it started asking me about Call Manager info and JTAPI web
login/password.

Can someone confirm this, I was very late into the rental rack hour and
forgot to check the type of license installed?

Thanks!

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] DHCP bindings

2011-12-05 Thread Emanuel Damasceno
Hello experts,

We can't just ignore all the messages we see here. And the last guy who
mentioned about DHCP manual bind, that really drew my attention.

My knowledge goes as far as the documents I read. In all those documents, I
really didn't see a way to make a manual bind without using more than 1
pool. I think those guys come and say they saw lab 1, or 2, or 3, or
whatever, they just wanna scare us.

If somebody really thinks this is authentic, please respond to this e-mail.
I am NOT talking about Lab X, nor I wanna screw with Cisco's NDA.

I wanna know about this DHCP manual binding with one pool.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] IOS Version

2011-12-05 Thread Robert Schuknecht
Hi Gurpreet,

this List is for the old Version 2 of the LAB. I did my preparation with
12.4(20)T or 12.4(22)T something. Unfortunately I do not find the actual
List, at the Moment. There is officially stated that they use 12.4T and not
12.4 MainLine.
