Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Phone not pick up TFTP or config from UCM

2013-06-12 Thread Shabeeb Mohammed
Hey Karen,

Try upgrading or downgrading the phone firmware, then restart the tftp
service.

If it still doesn't work, try to register this phone on another call
manager.. If it still doesn't register, it might be because the phone is
messed up inside..

Are all the acting this way.. Which models are effected..

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Hyphothetical Voice Infrastructure Issue Question

2012-12-13 Thread Shabeeb Mohammed
Hi..

Firstly, are you using CUCM or CME??
Secondly, try using a Static IP on the IP Phone. (*try using a 79XX ip
phone.. it is easier to know wat is happening*).
Thirdly, try registering a phone with static IP in the same vlan as that of
the Call Manager
Fourthly, If your using CME, make sure the source-address comand is correct
under the telephony-service commands.
Fifthly, if your using a CUCM, delete the DHCP scope and recreate them and
try

Hope one of these works.. :)
Cheers,
Shabeeb

Hi,

Try restarting all the services from CUC and respective services in CUCM (*all
nodes in both servers*). Also check the application server. plus
the licensing on CUC.

Then you will have to check if there is communications from the CUC to the
CUCM servers. I mean the AXL communication. you can check this while
creating the ports.

I noticed a weird thing while testing MGCP.

If I call out to my pstn phone and answer the call by pressing the answer

If I answer the call with the speaker button , it stays up forever.

I'm guessing the problem is I don't have handsets on any of my phones , so
when I answer with the answer softkey , the phone is off hook and sending
 dead air packets.
Somehow , mgcp see this as an error condition after two minutes or so and
 kills the call.

If the call is on speaker, I guess it picks up enough noise to keep the
 call from being considered inactive.

 Weird.

2011-07-17 Thread Shabeeb Mohammed
The only reasons for MGCP to not register with the CUCM are -

a. Hostname mismatch
b. Domain Mismatch
c. cucm in not binded to the serial interface..

2011-06-16 Thread shabeeb mohammed
Hi,

I faced a similar issue couple of days back.. I had configured the DHCP in
my CUCM. The problem was the in the DHCP IP Schema, 1 digit went wrong, so
nothing was registering. it took me nearly 2 days to figure this out..

take a closer look and you might figure out something.

If this doesnt work, try removing the DHCP from the CUCM and put them in the
router/switch.. while doing this dont forget the to use the option 150..

Hi,

All you need is the IOS supporting voice. then activate the telephony
services with auto registration.
Connect the phones and it should work.

If you need to confire each phone via GUI, then you will need the GUI file
in your flash. this is separate and it doesnt come with the IOS. There are
lots of papers in cisco regarding this.
