Hey Karen, Try upgrading or downgrading the phone firmware, then restart the tftp service. If it still doesn't work, try to register this phone on another call manager.. If it still doesn't register, it might be because the phone is messed up inside.. Are all the acting this way.. Which models are effected.. If you don't give spanning tree portfast, then on reboot etc the device (phone or desktop) will take 30 seconds to boot up.. Hi.. Firstly, are you using CUCM or CME?? Secondly, try using a Static IP on the IP Phone. (*try using a 79XX ip phone.. it is easier to know wat is happening*). Thirdly, try registering a phone with static IP in the same vlan as that of the Call Manager Fourthly, If your using CME, make sure the source-address comand is correct under the telephony-service commands. Hi, Try restarting all the services from CUC and respective services in CUCM (*all nodes in both servers*). Also check the application server. plus the licensing on CUC. Then you will have to check if there is communications from the CUC to the CUCM servers. I mean the AXL communication. you can check this while creating the ports. The only reasons for MGCP to not register with the CUCM are - a. Hostname mismatch b. Hi, I faced a similar issue couple of days back.. I had configured the DHCP in my CUCM. The problem was the in the DHCP IP Schema, 1 digit went wrong, so nothing was registering. it took me nearly 2 days to figure this out.. take a closer look and you might figure out something. If this doesnt work, try removing the DHCP from the CUCM and put them in the router/switch.. while doing this dont forget the to use the option 150.. Hi, All you need is the IOS supporting voice. then activate the telephony services with auto registration. Connect the phones and it should work. If you need to confire each phone via GUI, then you will need the GUI file in your flash. this is separate and it doesnt come with the IOS. There are lots of papers in cisco regarding this.
