I noticed the same thing. From the main documentation page, just type
Communications Manager Express in the Find section and it'll come right up.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Corporate Directory Task

2013-08-30 Thread Todd Carswell
Greetings,

I'm using my UCCX server for the customized Directory Button task. I've got my
xml file in c:/inetpub/wwwroot on the UCCX server along with a file named
corp.html that contains the text Corporate Directory Disabled. My phone
services for SC Phone 1 are provisioned for an external URL and I'm pointing to
the UCCX server at http://10.10.210.5/scph1.xml

Here's the rub: When I press the Directories button on the phone, it's asking
me to enter login credentials. This problem is related to IIS on my UCCX
Server (Running Windows Server 2003). I've been Googling this issue and have
tried some of the solutions to no avail.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? If yes, how did you fix your IIS?
Below is the error message I get when I enter the URL into a browser:

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] mva

2013-08-10 Thread Todd Carswell
The internal phone is known based on the remote destination configured for
the user. To meet this requirement, the remote destination needs to be
10digits. For SNR calls outbound, strip off the area code, prepend a '9', and
send to the appropriate gateway. Do not use SLRG.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] CFNA to Unity Connection Gets Reorder Tone

2013-07-05 Thread Todd Carswell
All,I just integrated Unity Connection with CUCM but I'm getting a reorder tone with CFNA. Scenario:Any IP Phone on my system can dial the voicemail number (2600) either by dialing it on the keypad or pressing the voicemail button. When I call from ANY IP phone to ANY device that has a voicemail box on Unity Connection, I get reorder tone.Specific Example: DN 4002 calls DN 3002. CFNA timer expires and I get reorder tone.I used DNA to analyze the IP phone with DN 4002, first by dialing 2600 (the VM Pilot) and then 3002 (Site B, Phone 2)In both DNA outputs, it shows that the call "should" be routing to VMCan someone take a look at my DNA output and tell me what may be wrong here? I've done this integration many times successfully so I'm flummoxed as to how CFNA does NOT work. Thanks in advance!

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] 5-Lab Challenge, Lab 1 PSTN Router Question

2013-04-15 Thread Todd Carswell
I'm working on Lab 1 of the 5-lab Self Study Challenge. In Section 4.1, the
lab says to use 7-digit DNIS and 10-digit ANI for calls from Site A Site B to
the PSTN phone. My lab is configured exactly like the DSG, yet calls are
failing from both site A B. I logged onto the PSTN router and I see that
calls are successfully reaching the core. That lets me know that CUCM and the
Site A B gateways are sending calls properly. Looking at the PSTN router, I
see that there are translation-rules that are actually preventing inbound calls
from reaching my PSTN phone.

Question for the Group: Is it permissible to change the voice translation-rules
on the PSTN gateway to solve this problem or is there another solution I should
be using? The DSG doesn't say one way or the other.

Thanks in advance!

2. Once built, install IIS
3. Google and find the registry file that makes the VM appear as a Cisco
MCS7845 Server
4. Now that your server is a MCS7845, install CUCCX
5. After CUCCX is installed take a snapshot of the VM BEFORE you do the CUCM
integration. This is so when you start new labs, no need to recreate the
VM... just redo the integration.

PS. I always get JTAPI inconsistent versions between CUCM and CUCCX but
that has never impacted functionality.

2013-01-23 Thread Todd Carswell (tcarswel)
Greetings,

I'm building out my lab and have a quick question for the PSTN router config.
Do the IPExpert labs have a mixture of E1 and T1 ports in some labs? Just
wondering because I'll need to obtain additional VWICs if that is the case.

Thanks!

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Software Versions

2013-01-10 Thread Todd Carswell (tcarswel)
The Cisco web site says that any version of software that has been available
for 6 months is open game for the CCIE Voice Lab. Just wondering what version
most people use for their lab studies? Some I've talked to are using 8.6 while
others are sticking with 7.1(5).

What do you recommend?
