Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] How to avoid phone firmware upgrade in the lab
Hi Bill Thanks to all those who have answered my first questions, what do i do so as to change a SIP phone to SCCP. Also in a situation where my phone keeps trying to upgrade firmware and it never stops what is responsible for that anomaly. Thanks in anticipation to you all on this forum Pithog oil --- On Wed, 6/22/11, Bill Lake whl...@gmail.com wrote: From: Bill Lake whl...@gmail.com Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] How to avoid phone firmware upgrade in the lab To: Pablo Meneses pmenese...@gmail.com Cc: Roger Carpio roger.car...@gmail.com, ccie_voice@onlinestudylist.com, Pithog Oil pithog...@yahoo.com Date: Wednesday, June 22, 2011, 12:30 AM I believe on the exam you are expected to be able to do a firmware upgrade or conversion. Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] How to avoid phone firmware upgrade in the lab
Do you say that Lab will not be restored to a pre-decided configurations on all devices before begining of each test? OR in initial lab setup , phones not having access to CUCM / CME for firmware changes? Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] How to avoid phone firmware upgrade in the lab
Dave, Nobody can guarantee that phones will be restored to a pre-decided firmware version, while proctors definitely restore the lab to an almost blank config; restoring the firmware requires some config and they just won't do it for you. Just like CUE, it might be licensed for CME and your lab requests JTAPI integration but fear not; if you have to do the conversion; all you need is to know how to do it; files will be provided... Easy as pie. Regards, Roger Carpio.
