[ccp4bb] Membrane protein structures from mammalian expression
Dear crystallographers, happy new year to everybody! Can I ask you to send me examples where expression of fully integral membrane proteins in mammalian cells (not insect!) has led to the successfull determination of a crystal structure? Thanks very much, Matthias - Dr. Matthias Zebisch Division of Structural Biology, Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, University of Oxford, Roosevelt Drive, Oxford OX3 7BN, UK Phone (+44) 1865 287549; Fax (+44) 1865 287547 Email matth...@strubi.ox.ac.uk Website http://www.strubi.ox.ac.uk -

Off the top of my head: Rhesus protein RhcG by the Stroud group (3HD6). Steven White's website should be good to get this info relatively fast; in most cases the expression system is listed. bert From: CCP4 bulletin board [CCP4BB@JISCMAIL.AC.UK] on behalf of Matthias Zebisch [matthias.zebi...@bbz.uni-leipzig.de] Sent: Tuesday, January 07, 2014 9:33 AM To: CCP4BB@JISCMAIL.AC.UK Subject: [ccp4bb] Membrane protein structures from mammalian expression Dear crystallographers, happy new year to everybody! Dear Matthias, Have a look at this paper: Large scale expression and purification of the mouse 5-HT3 receptor. Hassaine G, Deluz C, Li XD, Graff A, Vogel H, Nury H. Biochim Biophys Acta. 2013 Nov;1828(11):2544-52.
