Extending App.cfc and file paths
I have a setup where I grab the root path of my application in app.cfc using GetDirectoryFromPath(GetCurrentTemplatePath()) and set it in the application scope through OnApplicationStart. This works great for most of the site, but I have one subfolder where I've extended app.cfc to add a login script to OnRequestStart. The problem I'm having is if the application starts up from that subfolder, the extended app.cfc sets the root path from the subfolder instead of the root folder where the original app.cfc is located. Anyone know a way to fix this? ~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:349716 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/unsubscribe.cfm
Mac 10.7 datasource problem
Since I upgraded to lion, my sql server datasource has stopped working. The error message i'm getting is: java.sql.SQLNonTransientConnectionException: [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]No more data available to read. Extending App.cfc
I have an application.cfc in my root folder that defines my app. I also have a subfolder that has it's own app.cfc which extends the original app through the ApplicationProxy.cfc method. Basically this is being done to have a different OnRequestStart method. The way I thought I understood this was when a file in the subfolder is accessed, all the methods that aren't in the subfolder app.cfc would be executed from the root version. Is this incorrect, because it doesn't seem like my OnApplicationStart is run. ~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:344480 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/unsubscribe.cfm
Application.cfc execution order
I recently modified my Application.cfc to email all errors for debugging. While sending the error, I referenced some email settings I saved in the application scope. It was my understanding that OnApplicationStart() fired before anything else, but it looks like ColdFusion is trying to parse OnError() first. Since the application variables are set in the OnApplicationStart() function, my app errors out. Is this the order the functions are supposed to execute in or should I be looking for something else that might be wrong? ~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:342150 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/unsubscribe.cfm
Re: Application.cfc execution order
Weird. It didn't work when I manually called OnApplicationStart, but it worked when i restarted the server. Sounds like either a) and error is occurring in onApplicationStart() or b) you didn;t reinitialize your app and onApplicationStart isn;t running since the app already exists. nic On 2/11/11 3:49 PM, Mike P mike...@optonline.net wrote: ~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:342152 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/unsubscribe.cfm
Re: Anyone figure out how to make cfcompile.sh work on a mac?
I've been trying to make cfcompile.sh run on my mac for a while now and no matter what i do i can't get it to run. Has anyone been able to make this work? Or are mac users out of luck? Thanks. cfcompile.sh is the *nix version of cfcompile.bat. It's used for precompiling and sourceless distribution. ~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;160198600;22374440;w Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:298996 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
