I'm on windows,

Im sure I could fix this by stuffing around a bit, seems like a half baked

Re: [cfaussie] Re: ColdFusion Builder 2 Hotfix

2011-07-21 Thread Andrew Scott
Dale,

That doesn't indicate that Java is not installed, java can still be
installed and not have the JAVA_HOME and path variables setup.

I also will make the assumption that you have tried downloading the file
again, and running it as an administrator.

I was able to install it on my laptop here which does have a JVM installed
but it is not accessible via the commandline because the JAVA_HOME and path
has not been setup to find the JVM.

But it does sound weird what you are experiencing though. At what point are
you also seeing this error, is it when running the installer, or is it after
patching the hotfix and running CFB, or is it when it is unpacking the file
to install?

Hi Dale,

There is a JRE as part of eclipse.
I assume it is complaining about that.

I am not trying to be insulting, but I assume you have tried the usual
suspects?
* Re-downloading the patch?
* Applying the patch to a different CFBuilder install?
* Creating a new workspace first?

I don't have a windows version of CFBuilder.. (well actually I don't have a

On my Mac I had no issues with installing the patch - worked a charm, first

[cfaussie] Re: ColdFusion Builder 2 Hotfix

2011-07-20 Thread mpicker
Don't you mean $30 + whatever your soul is worth? :) Plus my MacBook
is keeping my feet warm (not the greatest foot rest but it's ok).

CFBuilder patch screwed up on my Aptana 3 install. It reset the
default editor for CF files and wouldn't allow me to fix it. Also
made a mess of the CF perspective. I uninstalled the patch and
everything started working again.

When I checked the patch installer log I had no errors but one
warning:

Get Registry Entry: Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node
\Adobe\Install Data\Adobe ColdFusion Builder 2\2.0.0
  Value Name: InstallDir
  Status: WARNING
  Additional Notes: WARNING - Win32Exception

Other than that one warning everything was showing a status of
Successful.

I will wait until there is a proper update/service pack rather than a
hotfix as I've only recently finished installing everything (new PC)
and don't want to screw anything up.

Cheers
Mark

 Hi Kai,
Are you looking Windows or Mac. What browser are you using.

I even tried to connect to the address via an FTP client (filezilla) but

  Andrew,
How did you get the update.

Just installed this. It looks like it worked, but Help - About is
  reporting 2.0.0 as the version:

  Version: 2.0.0
  Build: 278082

  Does that seem correct?

[cfaussie] Re: ColdFusion Builder 2 hotfix #1 now available...

2011-07-18 Thread Andrew
Thanks Kai.

It does indeed state it, however not clearly enough for myself *oops*

As the technote states clearly, yes:

 Installation details
 Hot fix Installation  log:

Backup location (of  various files prior to hot fix installation):
 ColdFusionBuilder2_HOME\hotfix-updates\hf-cfb200-001\backup
 Build number: 2.0.0.278082

Just installed this.  It looks like it worked, but Help - About is
  reporting 2.0.0 as the version:

This is because it is version 2.0.0 - it's not an updater, which would bring
 the product to 2.0.1
