[Chat] house/apartment rentals

2005-04-02 Thread Judith Smith
Hi, Everyone:

I am wondering if any of you know of people in the neighborhood who happen to rent out portionsof their house (or apartment) for brief periods of time (i.e., a few days, a weekend). I am looking for some options (other than hotels) for family and friends who come to visit.

Thanks in advance for any feedback that you can offer.

Best,

Judy Smith

Judy, SueI cant remember
her last nameruns a bed and breakfast in her house.

Its located on the northeast
corner of St. Paul
and 28th Streets.

I think theres a tiny sign in a
window near the sidewalk.

Her doorway has a cornucopia with fruit in
it.

[Chat] house at Calvert 29th

2005-04-02 Thread Sarah Andrew Wilson
Several months ago, the huge house on the northwest corner of Calvert and 29th (I think it's 29th - maybe it's 28th?) was sold to someone who wanted to turn it into a bed and breakfast. Now I see a new For-Sale sign out front. Anyone know the story?

Sarah,

I think John Spurrier said that personal
problems or something caused the sale to fall through.

Thefive foot woodenEgret or Heron from the 3133
Guilford Ave. back yard has landed on the eastern Shore around Rock Hall.
I miss it already. Good luck to you both, Gren and
Janice. Institutions have short memories but our memory as residents
of Charles Village goes back some 38 years. Inspite of the ebb and
flow of AIA and other community organizations, Gren's contributions have
been great, always very pro-active forthe city -living
residentsespecially in quality -of-life issues. We can thank
him as astrongneighborhood leader for a lot of things that made our
community better over the years. If we all had a General Store and a
pot-belly stove to gather around, he would be our elder
statesman.

Tune in to our squabbles once in a while, Dr.
Dogbone.
