Let's be clear, I did not write that piece on Gunderson, I merely
forwarded it onto the list.
I say this because I have had two people assume I wrote it. I posted
it for comment, as I agree
that someone has some pretty detailed info and that always makes me
curious.

[cia-drugs] Lies made to be Truth

2006-12-22 Thread Nancy Berry

http://www.hamiltontaftandcompany.com

On November 20, 2006, The David Allen
Show, had Dan Blacharski, the investigative reporter of "The
Corporate Shell Game: The Killing of Hamilton Taft & Company" as
a guest. As previously noted, some of the questions
appearing on the David Allen web site were: "Why did
elected officials exert their political influence?
Why would

Wall Street Journal run a front-page story?
Why would Nancy Pelosi help Federal Express?"

Today there is a seed of hatred
regarding the principles of law based on the best interest of one's
self, and in the same policy of this deception, lies are made to
appear as truth, and political gain is substituted for the
law.

This article, "The Corporate Shell
Game: The Killing of Hamilton Taft and Company" has become known and
can be acknowledged by the facts of the truth. This
is the same truth that has been twisted over these last years by those
who have had the power and money to influence those in political
positions. The power brokers then have influenced the
law to best serve their special interests. They have
gone forward with their power without regard to how it opposes the
principles, rights and laws of the Constitution.

The first and lingering question that must come to the minds of
people, no matter what their political preference is should be, "How
does an official of the government, who is elected by the people to
uphold the rights of all citizens and the laws of our Constitution,
believe they can ignore those principles of the law for their own
personal gains, whether it is for money or political power?"

Why did Nancy Pelosi, as an elected
Congresswoman, use her political power to influence the Wall Street
Journal to create a front-page story without any facts or law
pertaining
to any facts? It was based only on perception.
And on that same perception, she went to the Justice
Department in Washington DC, using her influence to cause
Washington to
question the Justice Department in San Francisco.
San Francisco had refused to prosecute a case they stated they had
investigated, and there was no crime. All of these
actions were not done in the best interest of truth or justice, but in
the best interest of a company, Federal Express, who had the power and
the money that could influence Nancy Pelosi to use her position for
their best interest.

One must question how Nancy Pelosi will now use her newfound power
as Speaker of the House. This powerful position of
our elected government allows the Speaker the ability to influence
other
elected Congress people on issues that involve the laws of the
Constitution. Ms. Pelosi has already illustrated that
she ignores the principles of law and will substitute the law for
political importance…her importance.

If an individual's rights under the
Constitution are not upheld, and are sacrificed for the best interest
of
power brokers and their influence, then our Constitution can no longer
exist. When it happens to one, it can happen to
many.

Americans need to remember the words
that Benjamin Franklin warned when asked if

He gave a good government to the
people…."Only if you can hold it in truth".

Vigilius,

I don't know what this has to do with IRAN. Chavez has
been saying we don't want no more dollars for over 5
years. This is a VENEZUELAN move, that dorks want to
attribute to others??? Iran is a 'lower' in OPEC,

Its like Cuba- they think we can possibly take some
others' political beliefs, when this is the most FREE

want most of the time, and culture still controls what
people do. That has been studied as the ONLY way to

[cia-drugs] Russia vs. Iran vs. the United States

2006-12-22 Thread Vigilius Haufniensis

Russia vs. Iran vs. the United States
December 22nd, 2006
Dan Amoss of Strategic Investment surveys the geopolitical landscape after the
sudden death of Saparmurat Niyazov, the dictator of Turkmenistan:

I see good potential for Russian military action somewhere in the FSU (maybe
in Turkmenistan or Georgia) in 2007.

Especially considering how upset the Russian population will be about having
to pay Gazprom closer to market prices for natural gas over the next few years .

The BTC pipeline [through Georgia, bypassing Russia] just came online a few
months ago, representing a chink in the armor of Russia's energy export
domination.

All Putin would need is an Islamic fanatic group to pursue in the FSU (after
another potential Chechen or Beslan school-type incident). one huge precedent
the U.S. set with the new "pre-emptive" military strike policy - now every
other sovereign state can claim the same right in the eyes of the world
community.

Also, if Iran is stupid enough to engage Russia in the fight over
Turkmenistan [a possible scenario laid out today by the folks at Stratfor], it
would give Bush the perfect diversion. With nothing to lose politically as a
lame duck, he could sign a presidential order for strategic bombing of Iranian
nuke development sites. What's Congress going to do - cut military funding? I
don't think so.

It's interesting to think of it in terms of Bush's mindset. His legacy will
rest on whether Iraq becomes just a mess or an unmitigated disaster. He might
as well double down his bet and "do Iran" too. In his mind, the next president
might not have the "guts" to do it!

As for Ahmadinejad, he might become even more irrational after the recent
loss of support in the "experts" election. He may strike out at Israel like a
caged animal, realizing that his opportunity to hasten the "Islamic apocalypse"
may not be long!

It will be an interesting year.

A Generation Is All They Need

One day we will all happily be implanted with microchips, and our
every move will be monitored. The technology exists; the only
barrier is society's resistance to the loss of privacy

By the time my four-year-old son is swathed in the soft flesh of
old age, he will likely find it unremarkable that he and almost
everyone he knows will be permanently implanted with a microchip.
Automatically tracking his location in real time, it will connect
him with databases monitoring and recording his smallest behavioral
traits.

Most people anticipate such a prospect with a sense of horrified
disbelief, dismissing it as a science-fiction fantasy. The
technology, however, already exists. For years, humane societies
have implanted all the pets that leave their premises with a small
identifying microchip. As well, millions of consumer goods are now
traced with tiny radio frequency identification chips that allow
satellites to reveal their exact location.

A select group of people are already "chipped" with devices that
automatically open doors, turn on lights, and perform other low-
level miracles. Prominent among such individuals is researcher
Kevin Warwick of Reading University in England; Warwick is a
leading proponent of the almost limitless potential uses for such
chips.

Other users include the patrons of the Baja Beach Club in
Barcelona, many of whom have paid about $150 (U.S.) for the
privilege of being implanted with an identifying chip that allows
them to bypass lengthy club queues and purchase drinks by being
scanned. These individuals are the advance guard of an effort to
expand the technology as widely as possible.

From this point forward, microchips will become progressively
smaller, less invasive, and easier to deploy. Thus, any realistic
barrier to the wholesale "chipping" of Western citizens is not
technological but cultural. It relies upon the
visceral reaction against the prospect of being personally marked
as one component in a massive human inventory.

Today we might strongly hold such beliefs, but sensibilities can,
and probably will, change. How this remarkable attitudinal
transformation is likely to occur is clear to anyone who has paid
attention to privacy issues over the past quarter-century. There
will be no 3 a.m. knock on the door by storm troopers come to force
implants into our bodies. The process will be more subtle and
cumulative, couched in the unassailable language of progress and
social betterment, and mimicking many of the processes that have
contributed to the expansion of closed-circuit television cameras
and the corporate market in personal data.

A series of tried and tested strategies will be marshaled to
familiarize citizens with the technology. These will be coupled
with efforts to pressure tainted social groups and entice the
remainder of the population into being chipped.

This, then, is how the next generation will come to be microchipped.

It starts in distant countries. Having tested the technology on
guinea pigs, both human and animal, the first widespread use of
human implanting will occur in nations at the periphery of the
Western world. Such developments are important in their own right,
but their international significance pertains to how they
familiarize a global audience with the technology and habituate
them to the idea that chipping represents a potential future.

An increasing array of hypothetical chipping scenarios will also be
depicted in entertainment media, furthering the familiarization
process.

In the West, chips will first be implanted in members of
stigmatized groups. Pedophiles are the leading candidate for this
distinction, although it could start with terrorists, drug dealers,
or whatever happens to be that year's most vilified criminals.
Short-lived promises will be made that the technology will only be
used on the "worst of the worst." In fact, the wholesale chipping
of incarcerated individuals will quickly ensue, encompassing people
on probation and on parole.

Even accused individuals will be tagged, a measure justified on the
grounds that it would stop them from fleeing justice. Many
prisoners will welcome this development, since only chipped inmates
will be eligible for parole, weekend release, or community
sentences. From the prison system will emerge an evocative
vocabulary distinguishing chippers from non-chippers.

Although the chips will be justified as a way to reduce fraud and
other crimes, criminals will almost immediately develop techniques
to simulate other people's chip codes and manipulate their data.

To my 33,000 or so readers: Because you've tolerated me, encouraged me,
enlightened me, or learned from me, my 2006 Christmas gift to you is truth.

As one of the prisoners who have gone before me said, "If we know the truth, we
must tell it; if we don't, we must learn it!" It is critical to our spirit.

Something is not right when we feel pressured to hide the truth in order to
maintain the status quo. Abe Lincoln has been quoted as saying, "To sin by
silence when they should protest makes cowards of men." I have no desire to be
a coward when I most need to be brave, therefore I'm going to show you the
skeleton in my closet.

If you don't know me, most of you know a little about my work. If you feel the
need to pass judgment, I hope you will judge me on my merits, not on any
manufactured stereotypes.

On December 5th, 2006, I became one of the 1-in-32 Americans to dis-grace the
American judicial system. I was arrested in my own room while recovering from
open heart surgery in my daughter's home... and charged with "THC Possession".

I was arrested despite Wisconsin Statute 961.41(3g) and my medical statement
from a licensed doctor that conforms to that law. So, at age 63, I've been
cuffed, fingerprinted, photographed and charged by the police for the first
time in my entire life. After nearly 30 years of responsible use, I'm tempted
to ask what took them so long.

Now and forever, I'm as peaceful as they come... I'm a quiet 63 year old
great-grandma recovering from heart surgery, an old lady who would never
intentionally harm another person or their property. I don't do dangerous
drugs, legal or not, including alcohol or even tobacco (anymore).

So how does a peaceful person who tries to obey God's laws end up on the
crowded road to punishment? Despite our claims to freedom, it's not
particularly hard in America.

Being a free person in a supposedly free society, I tend to question
everything, particularly as it affects meor my loved ones. In my mid-30s, I
realized medicine had become an urgent issue for me...urgent as in suicide and
mental hospitals. (You can read all about my pre-marijuana life at
http://www.angelfire.com/la/kaylee/depression.html)

So I began researching, particularly mental health care, including
controversial and illegal but natural plants like marijuana. I discovered this
plant has a remarkably honorable healing history. In my 30s, I made the choice
to try it.

It turned out to be the perfect medicine for me, my mind and body - with side
effects I actually enjoy, like increased creativity, spirituality, humor, and a
sense of well-being. So Cannabis became my medicine of choice. I've needed no
other in all these years.

The one side effect that I can never appreciate is being called a criminal!

I am an asset to this world, helping where, when, and how I can. I am
intelligent, spiritual, loyal to family and friends; I don't hurt children nor
animals, nor shuff off my duties as a citizen. I love my country and
participate in it's function; I obey it's laws - as long as they conform to
the constitution and the bible.

So how did this happen? What worthless, unjust law made me anything but the
good person I've always been? Why I am now one of my country's undesirables, a
burden, an outlaw, a common criminal due in court on January 2nd, 2007 for
daring to possess marijuana in my own home?

Make no mistake about it, the worst side effect of 'marijuana' is the very
unconstitutional laws against it.

Because I've always lived by God's Laws, I'm fairly ignorant of man's. How does
a shy but brave and educated grandmother defend herself and the plant she uses
against the justice system that should be protecting her right to use it?

I'm still who I always was, but now I'm wearing the mislabel of 'U.S.
Criminal'. My family may have to do without me for awhile. Those I help will
be a little less comfortable. My fellow Americans are about to be over-billed
for my incarceration. I'm told I deserve it for my responsible use of a
non-toxic natural element that never caused me to be cruel to anyone. Surely no
one believes that the people of this country are better off with laws that
cause the arrest of hundreds of people like me daily?

In the face of all this, it makes no sense to me that I should be judged. Isn't
- or shouldn't it be that the exact criteria we use to judge a bad law is "Does
it hurt good people?" Instead of wasting all this effort on me, what needs our
attention is the law that turned the perfectly natural behavior of trying to
raise my quality of life into a crime! Whatever happens, I will keep
reminding myself, "I am not a criminal, this time the LAW is wrong."

I, of course, continue to hope my peers will judge the law as well as me and
the plant, b

  Dear Theresa J.,
According to a survey by the National Retail Federation, the average American
shopper will spend about $800.00 over the holidays.
A person earning the $5.15 minimum wage would need 155 hours -- 19 work days,
nearly a month -- to earn that much. And before that money goes to gifts, they
have to pay the bills and put food on the table.
How can we expect millions of hard-working American families like that to
enjoy the holidays when their paychecks put them thousands of dollars below the
poverty line?
When Democrats take control of Congress in 2007, that will change. Here's how
it's likely to happen:
As soon as Congress convenes in January, I'll reintroduce the Fair Minimum
Wage Act, which will raise the minimum wage from $5.15 to $7.25 an hour over
the next two years. House Democrats plan to act on this important bill right
away as well. Hopefully in a few short weeks Democrats can remedy more than
nine years of Republican neglect of minimum wage workers.
To help us do so, I've recorded a new web video on the Fair Minimum Wage Act
to help raise awareness and keep us focused. I hope you'll find it useful for
spreading the word:
  http://www.tedkennedy.com/raisethewage
We have much to celebrate over the holidays, but we can't forget those who
are struggling to get by. Together, we're going to raise the minimum wage and
make the lives of millions of hard-working families across the country a little
easier. No one who works for a living should have to live in poverty.
  Happy Holidays and '07!

Senator Edward M. Kennedy

[cia-drugs] Venezuela mulls euro oil switch

  Venezuela mulls euro oil switch

Venezuela's government is interested in the Iranian move
Venezuela has expressed interest in an Iranian move to ask buyers to pay
for oil in euros rather than US dollars.
The oil-rich nation said it planned to see if a similar scheme could be
introduced to its crude exports.

Iran, the world's fourth-biggest oil producer, has already asked
customers to pay for its oil in euros because of the current weakness of the
dollar.

Although the dollar is the currency in which oil is usually traded, it
has been falling in value against the euro.

  Strained relations

The US currency tumbled to 20-month lows against the single European
currency earlier this month.

Iran still prices its oil in dollars, but currently receives payment for
57% of its crude exports in euros, according to the National Iranian Oil
Company.

Venezuela's energy minister Rafael Ramirez described the Iranian scheme
as "very interesting".

Venezuela and Iran, which have strained political relations with
Washington, are both members of oil producers' cartel Opec.

Democrats and the Deficit
By PAUL KRUGMAN

Now that the Democrats have regained some power, they have to decide what to
do. One of the biggest questions is whether the party should return to
Rubinomics — the doctrine, associated with former Treasury Secretary Robert
Rubin, that placed a very high priority on reducing the budget deficit.

The answer, I believe, is no. Mr. Rubin was one of the ablest Treasury
secretaries in American history. But it’s now clear that while Rubinomics made
sense in terms of pure economics, it failed to take account of the ugly
realities of contemporary American politics.

And the lesson of the last six years is that the Democrats shouldn’t spend
political capital trying to bring the deficit down. They should refrain from
actions that make the deficit worse. But given a choice between cutting the
deficit and spending more on good things like health care reform, they should
choose the spending.

In a saner political environment, the economic logic behind Rubinomics would
have been compelling. Basic fiscal principles tell us that the government
should run budget deficits only when it faces unusually high expenses, mainly
during wartime. In other periods it should try to run a surplus, paying down
its debt.

Since the 1990s were an era of peace, prosperity and favorable demographics
(the baby boomers were still in the work force, not collecting Social Security
and Medicare), it should have been a good time to put the federal budget in the
black. And under Mr. Rubin, the huge deficits of the Reagan-Bush years were
transformed into an impressive surplus.

But the realities of American politics ensured that it was all for naught. The
second President Bush quickly squandered the surplus on tax cuts that heavily
favored the wealthy, then plunged the budget deep into deficit by cutting taxes
on dividends and capital gains even as he took the country into a disastrous
war. And you can even argue that Mr. Rubin’s surplus was a bad thing, because
it greased the rails for Mr. Bush’s irresponsibility.
