[cisco-voip] UCCX 9 domain change

2015-05-21 Thread Ed Leatherman
Good morning!

Has anyone changed the domain name (not hostname) on a UCCX v9 HA cluster,
and if so were there any gotchas involved? Did this operation force a
reboot? So far from the docs all i can find is that set network domain is
supported after install.

I don't see the domain name listed as a field that the license mac is
derived from, and i'm not changing my primary DNS server so I'm hoping that
will stay the same.

I'm getting some DNS domains organized now in preparation for Finesse and
CUIC so we can get some signed certs.

Thanks!

Ed

[cisco-voip] UCCX 10.6 and axl issues

2015-05-21 Thread Michele Russo (AM)
All,

I am trying to do a fresh install of UCCX 10.6 - integrated with CUCM 10.5 SU1.
I am using the .ova and .iso files that came preloaded on the Be7000H M4
server. 2 issues:

1. And I have a TAC Case - I see the error message: Unsupported hardware
detected once I build the virtual machine and start the installation of the
software. I have used a new .ova template but the same .iso that came
preloaded. I do not have another .iso to try so we are stuck with this
message. The application will move forward with the installation though. Any
thoughts? My TAC Case is now waiting on an update from the VM Ware team to see
if there are actual hardware issues with the BE7000..I am still waiting but
wanted to reach out to a broader audience to see if anyone else has experienced
this.

[cid:image001.jpg@01D09338.48165860]

2. After bypassing this message and installing the application (UCCX 10.6)
I cannot move beyond the first GUI configuration setting that is asking for axl
provider information. I have created the axl application user and assigned it
the axl service role/permissions in addition to SuperUser permissions...the
message: Cisco Unified CM Authentication Failed because of CCMAXL Exception.
Please check the logs for details.. I have tried building a standard axl user
and assigning that user SuperUser permissions and get the same error message.

Questions...could the first 'unsupported hardware' message be stopping me from
setting up the application? I also see, in CUCM, the customer has hit a
licensing limit, I need to see exactly why they are out of compliance but could
this be impacting moving forward with the configuration of the application?

Thanks in advance.

[cisco-voip] BAT on 10.5.2

2015-05-21 Thread Michael T. Voity

Hello,

This is going to be a crap shoot, but here we go...

The goal is to do a mass import of analog lines across (4) VG350's 566
lines to be exact.

I have found and followed the following guides -

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/bulk-administration-tool/118882-config-vg-00.html
https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/144461/how-migrate-h323mgcp-gateway-configuration-across-router-models-bulk
https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12299666/bat-gateway-configuration

I have created 6 tar files with 6 different configurations of the
gateway.csv file 2with no success in do an import.

File 1 - gateway.csv completed with all the necessary fields filled out,
no 'commas' removed with 'Entry:FXS' , validating passes, nothing gets
imported.
 lots of 'java.lang.NullPointerException' and 'MGCP
java.lang.NullPointerException' errors

File 2 - gateway.csv completed with all the necessary fields filled out,
no 'commas' removed with 'Entry:ANALOG' , validating passes, nothing
gets imported.
lots of 'java.lang.NullPointerException' and 'MGCP
java.lang.NullPointerException' errors

File 3 - gateway.csv completed with all the necessary fields filled
out, extra 'commas' removed under 'Entity:GATEWAY',
'Entity:SLOTCONFIGURATION', and 'Entity:PRI
' with 'Entry:FXS' , validating passes, 36 records processed, and lots
of 'java.lang.NullPointerException' and 'MGCP
java.lang.NullPointerException' errors

File 4 - gateway.csv completed with all the necessary fields filled
out, extra 'commas' removed under 'Entity:GATEWAY',
'Entity:SLOTCONFIGURATION', and 'Entity:PRI
' with 'Entry:ANALOG' , validating passes, 36 records processed, and
lots of 'java.lang.NullPointerException' and 'MGCP

File 5 - gateway.csv completed with all the necessary fields filled
out, extra 'commas' removed under 'Entity:GATEWAY',
'Entity:SLOTCONFIGURATION', 'Entity:PRI and 'Entry:ANALOG' ' with
'Entry:ANALOG' , validating fails, lots of 'Record does not match the
fileformat selected'

File 6 - gateway.csv completed with all the necessary fields filled

[cisco-voip] transferring off-net to off-net (shows on-net external mask on target)

2015-05-21 Thread Lelio Fulgenzi

We have a scenario where an off-net call is transferred to an off-net
destination (no SNR or jabber integration) and the off-net destination shows
the external mask of the on-net IP phone rather than the original calling
party.

So, 519-555- calls our auto-attendant, transfers to x.51234 (with external
calling mask 519-555-1234) then x51234 transfers the call to 519-555-.
519-555-1234 is what appears on the display of 519-555-.

I'd like to see 519-555- appear on the destination display.

Any way to change this?

Is there a way to change it individually, per phone, per destination? or is it
system wide?

Thanks all!

Re: [cisco-voip] Very Strange SSL Issue...

2015-05-21 Thread Joe Martini
Do your certificates contain a Subject Alternate Name (SAN)? Are you trying to
access the servers using a name that is one of the alternate names? If an
alternate name exists in the certificate the browser will only display the page
as trusted if you are accessing one of the alternate names (RFC3280 - section
4.2.1.7), the common and or subject name is ignored. There’s a bug for CUCM
not copying the common name (CN) or subject name of the certificate into the
SAN field automatically which may be causing your problem (CSCus47235).

If you don’t have alternate names, the next most common issue I’ve seen is that
different browsers use different certificate stores (locations) for looking up
if the root/intermediate certificates are trusted. The root/intermediate has
to be added to the correct certificate store in that case (browser local cert
store, or operating system cert store).

[cisco-voip] UCCX Upgrade question

2015-05-21 Thread Ryan Huff
I have CCX 8.5.1; I am going to 10.6.1.

I am NOT doing an in-place upgrade. I'm having issues sourcing the .ISO for

Re: [cisco-voip] transferring off-net to off-net (shows on-net external mask on target)

2015-05-21 Thread Lelio Fulgenzi

The auto-attendant (Unity Connection) is out of the picture by the time the
transfer occurs. I thought I'd include that as path information.

This happens with both blind (unsupervised, hanging up after pressing XFER and
number) and supervised.

I was wondering if it had to do with something about the redirecting IE or
something like that on the gateway, but everything else works fine, forwarding,
SNR, etc.

I'm wondering if it's just a limitation of the system and off-net to off-net
transfers.

Is this a blind transfer? It may be trying to update the calling information
but failing.

Sometimes setting the Cisco CallManager Service Parameter Display Original
Calling Number on Transfer from Cisco Unity to True helps with this

Re: [cisco-voip] Remove ELM/PLM Option

2015-05-21 Thread Justin Steinberg
it immediately reboots the server (after you confirm the change) and after
the reboot the link for PLM is still there on the main webpage. However,
once you click the link it says PLM has been removed by your
administrator.

I know that behavior isn't what any of us want, but atleast it will prevent
confusion with someone logging in and wondering why the licenses are lost.

Did you try the command to remove this?

Any side effects or gotchas? Just curious as I'd like to get rid of the

2015-05-21 Thread Abhiram Kramadhati (akramadh)
Hi Michele,

For the second issues, you could obtain the MADM logs from the CLI or get the
AXL logs from the CUCM to see why the error is being seen. Also, do you have
any other existing application users you could use as the AXL user?

Subject: [cisco-voip] UCCX 10.6 and axl issues

All,

I am trying to do a fresh install of UCCX 10.6 – integrated with CUCM 10.5 SU1.
I am using the .ova and .iso files that came preloaded on the Be7000H M4
server. 2 issues:

1. And I have a TAC Case – I see the error message: Unsupported hardware
detected once I build the virtual machine and start the installation of the

I have created the axl application user and assigned it
the axl service role/permissions in addition to SuperUser permissions…the
message: Cisco Unified CM Authentication Failed because of CCMAXL Exception.
Please check the logs for details.. I have tried building a standard axl user
and assigning that user SuperUser permissions and get the same error message.

Questions…could the first ‘unsupported hardware’ message be stopping me from
setting up the application? I also see, in CUCM, the customer has hit a
licensing limit, I need to see exactly why they are out of compliance but could
this be impacting moving forward with the configuration of the application?

Thanks in advance.

Is this a blind transfer? It may be trying to update the calling
information but failing.

Sometimes setting the Cisco CallManager Service Parameter Display Original
Calling Number on Transfer from Cisco Unity to True helps with this
situation.

[cisco-voip] PCD migration and ELM

2015-05-21 Thread Erick Wellnitz
Hey all,

Quick question regarding PCD and migrations.

Migrating a CUCM 9.1.2 to 10.5.2 SU1 does co-res E(P)LM get migrated as
well? I understand I would still need to contact licensing.

[cisco-voip] Very Strange SSL Issue...

2015-05-21 Thread Matthew Loraditch
Has anyone ever seen where you put a cert on CUCM/CUCXN/IMP and the Subject
name matches but your browser insists it doesn't? I can't figure this out. I
checked as best I could for spaces like mentioned in Lelio's recent thread
about a CSR and I have no indication of that.

I honestly don't have a clue where to go, it's not really a server issue as the
server is just presenting the cert I installed, but I have it on both UCxn and
CCM/IMP. I can't believe I put an errant space on both servers...
