2020-02-24 Thread Benjamin Kenneally
I placed a test call from a T-mobile phone and received no ringback, but
did get an auto-attendant answer after 6 seconds.

What is your handoff. SIP or T1? I would go for T1 with SS7, but I have
seen carriers do crazy things now pushing their customers to where they want
them to go….. and I learned to just ask….

I need help troubleshooting an incoming calling issue. I run an SS7 connected
Metaswitch in Colorado, USA and am having issues with incoming calls from USA
based mobile phones. We did call trap with Centurylink, our tandem provider,
and problem calls are not reaching them. They recommended having the callers
open tickets with their local providers. This hasn’t resulted in any success
with getting a carrier to address this issue. This started on Thursday,
2/20/2020, and we have been unable to reproduce it with our local phones and
have been relying on other callers to open the tickets.

I would appreciate the USA based members of this could try to call my auto

please open a ticket with your local carrier? Our customers are reporting
ring-no-answer on these calls that never hit my switch.

Thank you for your time.

I called just now (~8:55am us central time) from a twilio sip trunk and
from a t-mobile cell (technically google fi) and neither worked. I was
getting a very strange ringback pattern for nearly a minute or more, and
then fast busy on both.

2020-02-23 Thread Ryan Huff
Yeah, sounds like you may have the problem sorted/known, and if it truly is
that other carrier’s have an offending/stale route that need updated... its a
pain cause sometimes the issue isn’t always with the LEC, it can be
upstream to the LEC too.

Having users open tickets with their carrier’s is really the only way.. and it
can be a grueling, support ticket generating nightmare cause there is really
nothing you can do until the call is on your upstream provider’s network.

I called from a Verizon Mobile (Atlanta Metro/GA) just a few moments ago and
got a “Thank You for calling FastTrack Communications” prompt.

Thanks,

Ryan

Re: [cisco-voip] Help on script UCCX

2015-09-11 Thread Anthony Holloway
Hi Sean,

What exactly is not working? Is it doing anything correctly?

Is this number, 94433534462, outside your organization? The leading 9
would lead me to think that it is. Because, before you can troubleshoot
the script, you will have to validate your dial plan design, to see if the
CTI port can even make the outbound call. This will be a combination of
your PT/CSS/LRG/REG/etc. configuration in CUCM.

Also, in order for UCCX to try and ring one number first, and then pull the
call back and ring another, you both: A) cannot have the first call out to
the other number actually answer, B) Need to use the Call Consult Transfer
step to set a time limit on how long it will ring before you consider it
"not answered" so you can send it to VM 8039. This can be tricky, but is
doable.

I opened your script and there is a lot of fluff in there for just the few
simple items you asked for. If you're not married to this script, you
could probably create a new one from scratch with less hassle and a better
understanding of what's going on.

Try this frame work out (you don't need to create any variables for this to
work):

*NOTE: Two quick things: 1) I use End steps in the transfers that fail so
the lady will say "I'm sorry, we are currently experiencing system
problems..." for me, 2) The steps which end in colons (:) are labels.

Start
/* Answer the call */
Accept (--Triggering Contact--)
/* Play the greeting */
Play Prompt (--Triggering Contact--, P[greeting.wav])
/* Check day of week and time of day */

Goto CallForward
SelectResource:
/* Go to Queue */
Select Resource (--Triggering Contact-- from "BandP_CSQ")

/* Successfully transferred to Agent, End Script */
End

/* No Agents currently available, play music */

Delay 30 sec
Call Unhold (--Triggering Contact--)
/* Caller has queued for 30 seconds, forward to 94433534462 */
Goto CallCoverage
CallCoverage:
/* Tweak the timeout value on this step, and leave the output digits blank
*/
Call Consult Transfer (--Triggering Contact-- to "94433534462")
  Successful
/* The call connected within the time limit, end the script */
Set Contact Info (--Triggering Contact--, handled)
End

End

/* The timer expired, send to voicemail */
Goto TakeAMessage
  Unsuccessful
End
TakeAMessage:
/* Change 2500 to your VM pilot, and set the Called Address to "8039" */

If everything was working fine, reboot the router. Maybe you're facing

Re: [cisco-voip] Help with Cisco IP Phone Services SDK 7.1 Win Server 2012

2014-07-11 Thread Matthew Loraditch
If you had to add Mime Types for .asp, etc, you probably don't all the proper
IIS components needed. I've never used the SDK but there are lots of optional
IIS items needed from the roles/features wizard that aren't there by default. I
would start there and check things involving ASP and ASP.net. If there are
dependencies it will tell you and add them.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Help with Cisco IP Phone Services SDK 7.1 Win Server
2012

Hello,

I'm migrating from a Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2012 box and I'm
unable to get IP phone services included with the SDK to work. I've migrated
all the files over and activate IIS but when I point my IP Phone Services
service to the new server I'm no longer able to see the various options after I
select IP Phone Services on my phone. When I navigate a browser to
http://x.x.x.x/CiscoIPServices/servicesmain.asp for the new server I don't get
the usual XML output. I'm figuring that I have to change something in IIS on
the new server but I don't know what. Please note that I did add MIME types
for .asp, .aspx and .jsp. Do I need handler mappings as well? Any clues would
be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ruben
