[cisco-voip] External monitoring?

2017-10-31 Thread Chad Burnham
HI,

We are looking into 3rd party external voice call testing / alarming service.

Synthetic/scheduled dialing from the PSTN to our environment. Graphs, stats,
etc. and upon and failures e-mail or text alerting.

Anyone know a firm/service that does this?

Thanks,

Chad

[cisco-voip] webex and calendar

2017-10-31 Thread Lelio Fulgenzi

Just curious for those that got WebEx working with the productivity tools (but
also web interface)...

Is there any way to integrate the corporate calendar into the widget so it
shows upcoming meetings?

Also, wasn't there supposed to be a way to use @webex in outlook and voila,
your meeting was setup ?

[cisco-voip] Need help with SIP FAX Configuration.

2017-10-31 Thread Hamu Ebiso
Hi Everyone,

Has any body experiencing configuring RICOH MP C5503 for SIP FAX on Either
CUCM as 3th party SIP or on voice gateway?

11.0 CUCM

SIP FAX: RICOH MP C5503

Voice router 4431.

I have configured Route Pattern in CUCM and pointed the router group and then
to the voice gateway.

I configured Dial peer in voice router but when I dial the FAX is not picking
up. When I try to dial out, nothing is happening as well.

Dial Peer as shown below:

dial-peer voice 500 voip
 description Ricoh 072
 destination-pattern 10 digit #
 session protocol sipv2
 session target ipv4:x.x.x.x
 voice-class codec 1
 dtmf-relay rtp-nte
 no vad
!
dial-peer voice 501 voip
 description Ricoh 073
 destination-pattern 10 digit #
 session protocol sipv2
 session target ipv4:x.x.x.x
 voice-class codec 1
 dtmf-relay rtp-nte

I'm just wondering if I'm missing any configuration.

if you can point to the any document that I can follow to make sure everything
is setup correctly, that would be appreciated.

[cisco-voip] Operating Phones with Logged out EM Profiles

2017-10-31 Thread Nathan Reeves
Running through some ideas in my lab and just trying to see whether I could
operate a setup with phones by default setup with a logged out EM Profile,
essentially making the phone a permanent setup, but allowing the
maintenance of a single record (the EM Profile).

Things seem to work ok, but I'm just trying to run through and find any
possible issues. In terms of my notes so far:

   -
   - EM Profile loaded as the default logged out profile needs to be
specific to the model of phone. You can still use the profile to login to
other phones not of the same type via the Phone Services Menu.
   - Changes made to the Device profile settings require a logout / login
of the profile to the phone. Achieve this by unchecking the 'Enable EM'
checkbox, save the change, then recheck the box and save again.
   - Jabber CTI Phone control still works (assuming you've associated the
UDP to the user as per standard).
   - Querying the Extension Mobility logged in report doesn't show the
profile as logged in when used in the logged out profile role.
   - Same results on EM Query when running against the EMServicability API
(nothing marked as logged into the device).
   - Can be a hassle finding out which phone has the profile active in the
logged out capability. Had to use the Dependancy Records option to trace
   things down.
   - This is probably the biggest hassle from an admin perspective. Can be
worked around by keeping desc field updated with the DN but
that'll end up
getting missed by people as they update things.
  - Would probably look at a scheduled job to update phone descriptions
via AXL I was to use with using this setup.

Can anyone think of possible issues with this kind of setup?

Thanks

Nathan
