This article (http://www.cncphotoalbum.com/reviews/review30mk1.htm
) says there were over
800 built. So does sailboatdata.com
(http://sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id=1288
).

I own HIN 30007972 - hull #7, built September 1972. Rick Bushie on this list
has hull #1. So I’d think hull #19 would have been built later than 1971.

Re: Stus-List Espar furnace repairs

2017-11-26 Thread Steve Thomas via CnC-List
1. I used a 12 volt to 13.8 volt voltage booster on a compressor refrigerator
cooler that was behaving like that. 4 months continuous use last year with no
problem so far. Purchased on Fleabay, made in China, etc. I bought a version
that was potted in an aluminum heatsink and supposed to be waterproof.
2. Where exactly is the espar mounted in you boat? I have a 36 too, and there
are a lot of projects competing for the limited space that is not part of the
cabin.

2017-11-26 Thread Charlie Nelson via CnC-List
I believe they produced many of this model--however, there is also a
possibility that not every number used was sequential.

Some manufacturers in other fields will change the serial number when a minor
change is made. Thus you might have gaps in the number sequence with some
numbers not used at all so that the maximum number is not necessarily the total
number of boats produced.

Subject: Stus-List Fitting and facing a new coupler

Hi

We are in the process of replacing our old Yanmar 3GMD motor with a Beta. The
old coupler doesn't match the beta and besides it is old. We are looking at a
split shaft coupler from Beta.

We are getting mixed information as to whether the shaft needs to come out of
the boat and the new coupler mated to the shaft, or fitted and faced I guess
are the terms.

As far as I know the shaft is not bent. It is a bit pitted where it goes into
the coupler although the mechanic said we could just shine it up.

We plan to put a flexible shaft coupler in between the split shaft coupler and
the back of the transmission.

Any advice on the right steps?

Thanks

Hi

We are in the process of replacing our old Yanmar 3GMD motor with a Beta.
The old coupler doesn't match the beta and besides it is old. We are
looking at a split shaft coupler from Beta.

We are getting mixed information as to whether the shaft needs to come out
of the boat and the new coupler mated to the shaft, or fitted and faced I
guess are the terms.

As far as I know the shaft is not bent. It is a bit pitted where it goes
into the coupler although the mechanic said we could just shine it up.

We plan to put a flexible shaft coupler in between the split shaft coupler
and the back of the transmission.

Any advice on the right steps?

Thanks
