2020-12-23 Thread Ted_Relinda--- via CnC-List
We watched it just as we were getting into sailing. We had a Watkins 23 that we
taught ourselves to sail on. We watched Wind and just knew we could someday
sail like that. Well, 4 boats later we have our 40 and still feel the same. We
sailed out today to our one particular harbor and it was still a thrill to feel
the heel and watch the knot meter climb. Just gotta get me a whomper... TedS/V

Stus-List J-Class Ranger

2020-12-23 Thread CHARLES SCHEAFFER via CnC-List
Pictures show Ranger having 30 crew members racing. Imagine the beer and
costs for feeding the crew. She sold for $6 million dollars in 2018 to new
owners.

"A departure from the original, she carries a central cockpit, doghouse and
luxurious mahogany interior designed by Glade Johnson
https://www.boatinternational.com/profiles/glade-johnson--20621 , boasting four
cabins aft for an owner and six guests, with three en suite bathrooms. Her
saloon features a formal dining table to starboard and leather seating to port
while forward through a watertight bulkhead is the galley to port and the crew
dinette to starboard. A cosy cockpit for up to eight guests with a teak table
is just behind the teak clad carbon fibre deck house.

Lloyd's classed and MCA compliant, Ranger is powered by a single 425hp Lugger
engine giving her a range of 1,800 nautical miles at eight knots under power."

Foil designs have improved to the point where standup paddleboarders
