I can see the problem here, the Canuks were cutting your reception, as you
were obviously illegally in Canadian waters, and you should just thank your
lucky stars they didn't impound your boat!

Being Lawr abiding citizens, we are sitting here in misery as we cannot do
our annual Port Dover (Wolford) race this weekend!

Thanks Dennis and Bill-

I probably should have prefaced that I did do the search and read through
the same notes you guys found. I also recognize the list issue but thought
I'd risk it...just in case.

The driver of my question stems from a recent trip we did along the north
shore of Lake Superior a couple weeks ago. Weather updates were incredibly
slow and I'm wondering if a hardware update would help. It is something
I've noticed off and on over the last couple years where I sail on the south
shore of superior. So strongly doubt there's issues since I was within 15
miles of the Canadian border - but those Canadians are a sneaky lot.

Btw- I recall it was a '74 Duster.

Pete,

Whenever I ask a "specific" question I get non-specific answers. Wouldn't
surprise me if someone answered you with "I had a nice 8-track in my 1970 Dodge
Charger". (Minor list rant) :)

I suspect no lister has the exact info you're asking for. However, there's a
bunch of threads on thehulltruth.com<http://thehulltruth.com> on the GXM's.
What I gather from the threads is there's no increased functionality from the
52. No mention of speed improvement. The 54 seems to be an upgrade to correct
some issues with the 53.

Google "gxm52 vs gxm54" to find the threads.
