[cobirds] Brown Pelican still at Chatfield SP at around 3 pm (Douglas Co.)
Paula Bauer and I observed and photographed the Brown Pelican on the Douglas County side in the last gravel pond south of Kingfisher Bridge. It was sleeping on an island with about 35 American White Pelicans, but did wake up and stretch its wings allowing me to get some photos. Hopefully it will stick around. [cobirds] Purple Finch at Hudson Gardens this Morning
While looking for the Varied Thrush this morning at Hudson Gardens (Arapahoe County) this morning, I photographed at @ 10:15am, what I initially thought was a Cassin's Finch. Just finished downloading my photos and it appears to be a Purple Finch. Seen in the Cascades area, first with some House Finches and then a couple of minutes later with a small number of A. Goldfinches. I hope it is still there.
