Elena, the links to Amanda in the GWRC only return here to COBids on
Google. How do we contact Amanda?
There was a nice size group of swallows around Havana Ponds at the Arsenal
on Sunday (I got a few nice pictures!).

Well said, Robin! I fit in the photographer-birder group and shoot with a
960mm (effective) lens on a 32.5 MP camera so I *don't* have to disturb the

[cobirds] Re: No joy on the Denver County pyrrhuloxia 2/27

2022-02-27 Thread Gary Bowen (Thornton)
That gentleman was my photography parter Carl. We arrived at 7:15AM and
were joined by a birder around :30. Carl and the other gentleman both saw
the pyrrhuloxia but it was for a fleeting moment, not enough time to get a
lock for a picture.

While I didn't see the pyrrhuloxia, I did have the wonderful pleasure of
listening to it sing for about two minutes! I couldn't locate it while it
sang. I did get pics of a spotted towhee in the brush next to the alley.

2021-03-04 Thread Gary Bowen (Thornton)
Hi George -
I have a few pics of the red-tail that was in Westminster for about 20 yrs.
He passed last summer. Got pics about two or three weeks before his body
was found - not the best pics but usable. I heard the body was send for
study but not sure where it went, perhaps CSU or Museum of Nature and
Science. Would be great if it was mounted.
