2015-10-18 Thread Adam Vesely
Huge flocks of Sandhill Cranes currently leaving Barr Lake, departing to the
southeast. Quite a sight!

[cobirds] Sandhill Cranes - Barr Lake - Adams Co and Jeffco

2011-10-01 Thread Ira Sanders
Birders,

This morning on our monthly bird walk we had 30 Sandhill Cranes roosting on
the west side of the lake. They took off and headed south about 10 am. We
got home to Golden about 12:15 just in time to have 35 - 40 more go over the
house, circle and gain altitude and move off to the SW.

Also at Barr Lake today were 6 Bald Eagles (1 ad). I couldn't find them
again at 11 am. Lots of Ruddy's have arrived as well as some Redheads and
Ring-necked Ducks.
