Register media source to system

Hello List,

I’m looking for pointers to “where to start looking”.

Basic problem is:
Om Mac OS X (not iOS), I need to take video and/or audio from input 
devices(like built in iSight ot FaceTime cameras), found using the standard 
AVCaptureDevice.devices(); and then make it available for other applications 
using the same interface, after they have been processed.

I really lack pointers on that parts, all I my googlefu came up with was nil 
ones.

Anyone having a starting point for which API or framework to look at?

The word 'pedophilia' in English is shōniseiai' in Japanese. At least in our 
part of the world, that word has a very negative connotation and its practice 
is illegal. That is why nobody will visit your website. I would suggest that 
you consider a different domain name and use a service like Google Translate to 
be sure that you understand what the meaning of an English word is in Japanese.

英語で「pedophilia」という言葉は日本語で「小児性愛」です。 少なくとも私たちの世界では、その言葉は非常に否定的な意味を持ち、その慣習は違法です。 
だから誰もあなたのウェブサイトを訪れるわけではありません。

Nursery is a persistent object framework (object database) for Cocoa.
It is written in Objective-C.
It is implemented ONLY with the Cocoa Framework.

Objects no longer referenced by Nursery's root object are automatically 
released by the GC.
The released area is compacted.

You need to look up what the name of your web page means in English.  It is 
very very very very very bad, very illegal and most certainly terrible. 

It’s about the worst word you could have on your web page.

Contact a Japanese to English translator to tell you why.

I will leave a fluent speaker of Japanese to address the rest of your
remarks; however, the issue is that “pedophilia” (the word you selected as
your domain name) has a certain justifiably negative meaning in English.

No one is willing to visit your website for this reason.

Perhaps, i thought that the owner may not be seeing the sent mail,
i decided to send it to the mailing list by describing circumstances.

I am Japanese.
My English skill is very weak.

I think that there is no content that has a problem.
However, i noticed that my mail address is banned.

I would like to stop it.

Originally, i know that i should write in English, but it is difficult to 
describe in English properly.
Because some members of the mailing list may understand Japanese, i will 
describe circumstances in Japanese.

 What kind of class is 'self' in this case, and is the 
-updateTheDelegateForRunID: method part of your XPC protocol?

 Methods called by an NSTimer must have the form

-(void) foo: (NSTimer*)sender

So in this case, the first argument passed to -updateTheDelegateForRunID: will 
be the timer itself. If the method call is bridged over XPC, this would mean it 
would try (and fail) to secure code an NSTimer. I don't think clang knows 
enough about NSTimer to be able to tell that the SEL passed to it should take 
an NSTimer* argument, so you're not getting a type error, even though you are 
passing a method that takes the wrong type.

Also, your parameter is probably not what you think it should be. You are 
passing something named runID to your timer's userInfo. This will initialize 
the timer's userInfo property with that value. It is not the value that gets 
passed to -updateTheDelegateForRunID:.

So my guess is what you really need is an intermediate "timer fired" adapter 
method:

-(void) updateTheDelegateForRunIDTimerFired: (NSTimer*)sender
{
[self updateTheDelegateForRunID: [sender userInfo]];
}

and pass that as the timer's selector instead.
