Re: [CODE4LIB] Lightning Talk ideas
Fun! I dusted off some notes we made during Code4Lib2008 and added titles from Jay and Ross: http://wiki.code4lib.org/index.php/Code4lib2009Notes -Jodi PS-Speaking of lightning talks, we're listing talks for next week's Boston gathering at http://wiki.code4lib.org/index.php/NEC4L -Original Message- From: Code for Libraries [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ed Summers Sent: Wednesday, November 26, 2008 2:01 PM To: CODE4LIB@LISTSERV.ND.EDU Subject: Re: [CODE4LIB] Lightning Talk ideas Yeah, but really a boring list of ideas would work well for now I think. Re: [CODE4LIB] Lightning Talk ideas
I suspect getting the tech right at the conference end is One Tech Hurdle Too Many. It's already kind of a miracle that we pull off the necessary technological feats with an all volunteer staff on the cheap. But, hey, if you can get a volunteer who will be in Providence to say they'll try to set it up for you, then why not? Any tech setup time for the would be, I'd say, counted within the 5 minute lightning talk limit, and if the 5 minutes expire and they still haven't gotten it working at all, sad, but over.
