I have such issue.

When i tested this part first time i did not have this issue. They are projects
HG01 and HG01_clone0. And now i can “Export Uncommitted Changes” and “Apply
Diff Patch” in these projects.

But on second test I have this this issue. They are projects Mercurial10_1 and
Mercurial10_1_clone0. I can not “Export Uncommitted Changes” and “Apply Diff
Patch” in these projects.

I have added zip file with these projects.

[jira] [Created] (NETBEANS-557) Cannot compile with java 10

2018-03-31 Thread Ronald Cook (JIRA)
Ronald Cook created NETBEANS-557:

Summary: Cannot compile with java 10
 Key: NETBEANS-557
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-557
 Project: NetBeans
  Issue Type: Improvement
  Components: java - Compiler
Affects Versions: Next
 Environment: Netbeans 9.0: Build
incubator-netbeans-release-205-on-20180202
Java version: 10
OS: Windows 10
Apache Ant(TM) version 1.10.3 compiled on March 24 2018
Reporter: Ronald Cook
 Fix For: Next

Using ant 1.10.3, and jdk 10, the netbeans compile step produces this error:

javac: invalid source release: 10.0

Running ant on a custom build file outside of netbeans produces no error.

[jira] [Updated] (NETBEANS-556) Can't switch keyboard language back to English

2018-03-31 Thread Makis Palasis (JIRA)

Makis Palasis updated NETBEANS-556:
---
Description:
Rapidly switching keyboard input language from English to another language can
get stuck on the other language.

To reproduce: taken from
[https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=224008#c3]
 (this still applies in nb8.2)
{noformat}
To re-produce bug:
  1. You have more than 1 language in your OS.
  2. Make sure that use left Alt+Shift to switch language.
  3. Open Netbeans
  4. Type some thing in these 2 languages. example Thai and English. Switch
language rapidly (about 3 times or more) and many times
(try to type then switch about 3-4 times or more) and you might see that it
cannot switch language anymore.

Here is what i can re-product it last time.
  1. type the text
  2. switch thai
  3. switch english
  4. do 2 and 3 and 2 and 3
  5. type the text
  6. repeat step 4. few times
  7. broke.{noformat}
Particular language doesn't seem to matter.

Workflow is interrupted. On days when I have to edit templates/language files
with non-English text it'll get stuck to the second language at least once.

The only solution is currently a full restart of the app.

It's been a while since this was originally reported and keyboard language
switching has changed to a per-application scope instead of universal scope in
Windows OSes, maybe this new approach has facilities to fix/debug this issue,
hopefully.

> I wanted to change/add a badge icon to a HTML5 project, when there are ome
> specific files like .angular-cli.json. So the project gets a new, merged
> icon, the current icon + my custom icon. This is, unfortunately not possible.
> I had a look into PHP Plugins for NetBeans like the WordPress plugin:
> or Laravel. They extends the PhpFrameworkProvider which is public.
> Unfortunately, there is no such implementation for JS. In the future, I would
> like to implement similiar features where I change the icon to that
> framework, they are added.
> So it is needed to have such a JsFrameworkProvider, that can extended.
> Cheers

Is it really a blocker for an apache incubator release?

Is this something we can do without for a Netbeans 9 release but ensure we can
get back into NetBeans before we get promoted to a Top Level project?

Also whose tracking these statistics?  maybe this should be brought to the
mailing lists, to decided if this tracking is still needed?

> Components: website

>Priority: Blocker

> In order to keep measuring number of NetBeans active users also in the future
> we need to create an update center similar to 8.2 NetBeans Distribution UC
> [1] which will be hosted on Apache infrastructure and register it in the
> NetBeans 9.0 FCS build. We are measuring this statistics since 2004 and
> stopping it now is not an option hence this is a blocker bug for 9.0 release.
