  Hi,
A few questions about USB connectivity

Hi! Excuse me for not replying on each of your questions but try to
answer yourself ;) Basically your Neo1973 phone would be running linux
with kernel 2.6.x so all modules should work on your phone just like
on your desktop (if hardware allows of course). Does it clear you out
 your doubts?

2 of the questions were about behaviour when the Neo is _not_ the host, but is
connected to a PC. I don't recall this being mentioned on list before so I
went digging in the Wiki. This suggests it will appear as both a network
device and a mass storage device, plus perhaps a couple of consoles for the
bootloader.

A beer tap. That's what it really needs. But we might have to wait for
V2, since the BPS (Beverage Pouring System) isn't ready yet.

Would that make it the first BoIP ready handset? Beer over IP seems too good
to be true...

Also time related:
Setting timezone based on location
I can see by your location you've changed timezone from X to Y. Would
you
like to change timezone?
Setting timezone of events in PIM
Depart Calais at 21:00 (GMT+1), arrive Folkestone 20:30 (GMT). iCal
files can
represent this, but I've yet to use a PIM app that'll let me set it.

Well, what if you just entered the phone number - based on the country

Or when you go to your address book and show a user, it shows the time
 for that person.

And while you mention it - re: Alarms, the *best* interface feature
for an alarm I've ever seen is on my current mobile. After you set the
alarm, it confirms by saying, Alarm will ring in 8h 40m. That is
such a comfortable feeling to confirm the alarm is set right (that
it's not for PM by saying 20h ;)

I would really like one so that when I get to Germany next year, I
can keep track of time back home for making my calls. One with
ability to set alarms would be great.

Re: Neo1973: Mobile Phone or Mobile Computer?

The distinction may become more relevant if you get hit with a cease and

If we have a browser with Flash support capable of displaying YouTube
video, and then run it on the Neo.. are we suddenly going to have to
worry about litigation such as this company did?

Not a problem - it's just a browser. This company was transcoding the video.
Running your own transcoding proxy is probably fine, but start doing it as a
service to others and you could have a problem.

Getting a flash-capable browser will be another problem entirely...

We were informed by YT their action was largely due to pressure from
 their new mobile partner, Verizon.

I don't use fdom but it sounds suspiciously broken seeing as noone else
has reported it.

Have you tried an updated uboot and kernel?

It just seems strange that only you would receive a corrupt or
nonfunctiong userland ... hopefully it's just a mismatch.
