Thanks for the suggestions. Funny, the ONLY option it was giving me when I clicked on the notice of expiration was for the paid AVG 8.0; think it was a larger security bundle than just antivirus or whatever is provided in the free AVG. Had to go to Grisoft.com to get the free version. Guess they'd rather have me pay $54 or something than get the free version. AVG misleads it's free users every year or so into believing their free product is being discontinued. It hasn't been yet, but it gets harder and harder to _find_ the free one. Are you using AVG 7.5 and getting that message? Because AVG came out with 8.0 in April and many of us are using it and there is nothing on their website about discontinuing the free version. Google free AVG to get the free version. (They don't make it easy to find the free version from their main site.)
