Re: [CGUYS] Google weirdness and Firefox on Windows?

2009-02-02 Thread Gail.Miller

When doing a web search, every site bears the legend this site may harm
your computer.

I had a sort-of similar problem with IE a couple weeks ago -- every site was
going to do harm and I thought I had a virus. Turned out I had checked the
calendar in the tray to find a date and inadvertently closed it without
checking that I had gone back to the current date. Seems unlikely you would
have done that but just check to be sure your clock is correct before you
start running down other stuff.

Warm regards
Gail Miller

Yes...very annoying. What os are you running? I've been having these
issues on 64bit vista, I don't believe my wife has had the same issue on
64bit win7 though. I have not seen the legend you are talking about, just
the problem with gmail.

XP Pro 32-bit (SP3). I don't think it matters what version of Windows. I
think it's the Firefox version that matters (I would consider the linux
version a different version).
Probably Google is fixing this as I type.

They say someone made a single typo. Wow, I did not expect things to be
