Maybe you could be a little more clear?  Which is incorrect, it's not a
runtime environment?  It doesn't do ajax?  Javascript...HTML? Flash?  Or is
it that you know I actually don't like the AIR based program I use?

Air has nothing to do with Flash except it can run flash in the air
environment, but that's just one thing it does.  It can also run
ajax/html/javascript, all having nothing to do with flash.  I can't speak to
the specific app you are wanting to run, the desktop twitter app I use is
built on air...and it's not flash.  The interface is wonderful for this
program.

It is an application written in Adobe AIR. To run it you will have to  
install all the AIR stuff and that will not be easy to uninstall. AIR  
is Adobe's system for taking Flash and turning it into something that  
looks like a stand alone application. It is rather clunky and has an  
unfortunate user interface. Take a look at it to get a good idea of  
why Steve Jobs is blocking Flash on iPhones.
