Hi,
I created all kde-3.2-alpha2 for MDK9.2 just for test.
For the moment MDK menu doesn't work.
I reapplyed 50 patchs from 400.

Must be part of these patch : doesn't show supermount devices ( floppy
cdrom ) on desktop and in devices services ( sidebar )

Where are the KDE 3.2 rpms?

Thanks

you'd better not use them. Very unstable and buggy ...
quanta unusable
sometimes when you download files, the dialog don't close ( no button,
can't be close with the button in title bar ) and you need to quit
download manager ( see systray )
k3b crash when you try to access preferences ( even if you donwgrade
with k3b_0.10cvs
menu is incomplete
most mimetype are lost ( xmms no longer associated with .pls, xine not
in menu, the same for xmms )
gtk apps are not themed which make them look ugly :(

I advise you to wait for final laurent kde3.2 rpms as it will apply many
patch and will be surely updated from cvs and thus will have less bugs.

I will add a conflict with kdemoreartwork-plastik

So as you can see, I ended up forcing them on. It did boot i to kde
(cool splash screen btw :D ), I had a panel and complete desktop
(minus wallpaper), but the most noticable problem was that the mouse
and keyboard were not responsive. So wasn't able to test much. :P I
had rm .kde prior to startx.

after sending original note to list, I then went back and rpm -Uvh
 kdebase-3.1.92-2mdk.i586 kdegraphics-3.1.92-3mdk.i586

the kdenetwork conflicted with kdenetwork-kmail knode

It's right a problem, I forgot to add %version-%release.

 the libkdemultimedia1-noatun-devel-3.1.3-16mdk.i586 didn't go either.

I didn't observe any changes tho.

I originally tried to urpme the old kde packages, but it wanted to
take out so much other stuff that I just urpmi'd it. I hope this is
some help. I'll install a clean cooker system later today minus kde
 for your next round.

Thanks for your report.

I ported galaxy theme to kwin 3.

would've sent this last night but kmail settings got mangled and I had to hunt

kdeaddons requires libkdemultimedia-common-devel or

libkdeaddons also requires libkdegames

I don't have kdegraphics-common installed and it wasn't required (messed up

kdegraphics-common depends on gphoto2. That dependency should probably be

  no promises.

  found some bugs too:
when installing something from kpackage (why? to find dependencies) if
you double click on the Install window to enable roll-up mode sometimes
it rolls up the window but the background will still be there with
Keramik (the style i use) in the center. All the widgets and text boxes
will be gone and just the background will be there w/ Keramik in the
middle. I'll try to get a screenshot of this
Also when I select kmail to notify me of messages in systray and i have
the gaim (latest cooker) icon in the systray whenever i finish reading
all new mails (and kmail notification leaves systray) gaim always pops up
whether minimized or closed. highly annoying

 here're picks of some bugs
here is what i was talking about w/ kpackage

bug known
Fixed into CVS.
I will update source for next release.
But it's into kdelibs so I must rebuild all package :(

This one happens to kmail after kmail is loaded into kontact and i try to
 use kmail by itself

found some more dependency probs:

kdegames = 3.1 is needed by libkdeaddons1-konqimagegallery-3.1.92-2mdk Hi,
libnoatunarts.so is needed by libkdemultimedia1-noatun-3.1.92-1mdk but
libnoatunarts.so is in libkdemultimedia1-noatun-devel a devel package

i gave up after this cause adding libkdemultimedia1-noatun-devel brought up a
whole other list of dependencies i didn't want to bother checking :) If you
really need any help w/ it i'll try to check as many as i can but no
promises.
