Becky, sure you can. Set the pot on Low for a couple of hours, then check. Since both the hot dogs and the kraut are already cooked, all you're doing is heating them through and blending flavors. HOT DOGS with CHEESE POTATOES 8 hot dogs 2 cups warm mashed potatoes 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese Heat oven to 425 degrees. Split hot dogs lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through. Arrange the hot dogs, cut sides up, in a rectangular baking pan, pressing down to open flat. Spoon equal amounts of mashed potatoes down center of each hot dog. Sprinkle green onions over potatoes, then top with cheese. Bake in oven 8 to 10 minutes or until heated through. 8 hot dogs 4 slices (3/4 oz each) American cheese, each cut into 6 strips 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls Heat oven to 375°F. Slit hot dogs to within 1/2 inch of ends insert 3 strips of cheese into each slit. Separate dough into triangles. Wrap dough triangle around each hot dog. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, cheese side up. Bake at 375°F. for 12 to 14 minutes Substitution: If using Pillsbury® Big Flaky large refrigerated crescent dinner rolls, use large hot dogs and bake at 350°F. for 16 to 20 minutes.
