Have you run makesmtpaccess after editing smtpaccess ?

Have you enabled ipv6? Check the maillog in order to see if the blocked
addresses are noted as ipv6. If ipv6 is enabled you have to do your entries
in smtpaccess also as ipv6. Or you rebuild courier without ipv6 support.

Point. :) I've attached the courierd and authdaemonrc files. Is there 
anything else I should be examining at this point?

The annoying thing about this problem is that I had this problem the 
*last* time I did this install, and should have learned the answer more 
clearly. sigh
