Hi Wayne,

Thanks to Tony Homer for noticing, and sorry we didn't catch it earlier,
but m2e is going to contribute a 1.16.0 release to SimRel 2020-06:

HI,

can it be, that I updated the repo content at the same time the build
was running? See also my last e-mail. Sorry if I caused additional

Hi all,

I just contributed a new Sirius RC for 2020-06. The validation [1]
went fine, but the next actual build [2] failed for reasons which do
not seem related to Sirius.

The only errors I can find in the logs [3] seems to concern BPMN2, e.g.

  Artifact org.eclipse.cbi.p2repo.p2.impl.ArtifactKeyImpl@894a5b90
(classifier: osgi.bundle, id: org.eclipse.bpmn2.modeler.ui, version:
1.5.2.SNAPSHOT-v20200527-1621-B1) could not be found in the artifact
repository
(file:/home/data/httpd/download.eclipse.org/bpmn2-modeler/updates/2020-06/1.5.2)

The corresponding bundle actually seems to exist in
https://download.eclipse.org/bpmn2-modeler/updates/2020-06/1.5.2/plugins,
but there is also another version there, with a different qualifier.

Not sure what happened, maybe the respin mentioned above somehow broke
the metadata and/or artifact repositories?

Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] 2020-06 Release

2020-06-02 Thread Wayne Beaton
If you're contributing a new major or minor release to the
simultaneous release, and your project has not engaged in a successful
release review since June 17/2019, then your project needs to engage in a
release review.

Note that, regardless of whether or not a release review (and corresponding
IP Log review) is required, you must ensure that all intellectual property
either included in your project as "project content" or referenced by your
project as "third party content" must be fully vetted by the intellectual
property due diligence process.

I don't believe that the recent changes to the intellectual property policy
and due diligence process have much impact here, but I'd like to take the
opportunity to point you to a recent blog post I wrote on the topic.

https://waynebeaton.wordpress.com/2020/05/07/revising-the-eclipse-ip-due-diligence-process-for-third-party-content/

Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] 2020-06 Release

2020-06-02 Thread Wenz, Michael
Hi Wayne,

Graphiti should be 0.17.0 for 2020-06. The release record is here:
https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/modeling.graphiti/releases/0.17.0

Unfortunately I was not yet able to update our simrel contribution, because I
need to wait for a version of the BPMN2 Modeler that allows for the new
Graphiti version.

Best regards,
Michael

It sounds like this is sufficient.

A release review is not required.

The release record is a record of the release itself. All I need is a
release record that records the version number and date. No IP Log or other
review is required.

Hi Wayne,

Why is a release record needed for Mylyn? The requirements document states:

Projects may push out releases for a full calendar year following a

and Mylyn did a release review for the June 28, 2019 release. I thought
this meant a new release record is not needed, especially for a service
release.

I've tested Eclipse Tools for Cloud Foundry (CFT) in JEE 2020-06-M3 package and
it looks fine . We have tested CFT in the JEE package for each Eclipse release

actually function on the current version of the platform?

Eclipse WindowBuilder (early 2019)
Eclipse Xpand (2016)
Eclipse Remote Systems Explorer (2018)

Eclipse BPMN2 Model (2018)
Eclipse BPEL Designer (2018)
Eclipse ACTF (2017)

As usual, I've used the information that I have available to make my best
guess at which version you're releasing. If I've got something wrong, please
first make sure that you've created a release record with the right date and
then let me know to update the corresponding entry on the release page.

I noticed that several of the contributions are more than one year old (some of

2020-05-28 Thread Wenz, Michael
Hi Wayne,

Graphiti will provide 0.17.0 for 2020-06. I’m just waiting for the new BPMN2
Modeler version to allow to version in order to not break the aggregation.

Release record is available at
https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/modeling.graphiti/releases/0.17.0.

Thanks and regards,
Michael

Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] 2020-06 Release

2020-05-27 Thread Dawid Pakuła
Mylyn is part of PHP package, so because I often switching my production
environment to M2 it’s at least partially tested.

I’m using tasks and mylyn working sets. From time to time also contexts.

 Hey folks!

I've created the record for the 2020-06 Simultaneous Release
 . As usual, I've used
the information that I have available to make my best guess at which
version you're releasing. If I've got something wrong, please first make
sure that you've created a release record with the right date and then let
me know to update the corresponding entry on the release page.

I noticed that several of the contributions are more than one year old
(some of them significantly more). I don't believe that it's necessarily
wrong to contribute stable content, but would like to make sure that
somebody is periodically testing configurations that include these
contributions to mitigate the risk that we ship broken content.

Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] 2020-06 Release

2020-05-25 Thread Mickael Istria
Hi Wayne,

LSP4E will contribute 0.15.0 to 2020-06:
https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/technology.lsp4e/releases/0.15.0
Wild Web Developer will contribute 0.10.0 to 2020-06:
https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/tools.wildwebdeveloper/releases/0.10.0
There is also some small but very interesting bug in TM4E that might worth
a release and inclusion in SimRel, but it's too early to know whether a fix
can be shipped in 2020-06 or not.

Cheers

Wayne,
I had the wrong date on WTP's release record. We'll be contributing release
3.18.

[cross-project-issues-dev] 2020-06 Release

2020-05-20 Thread Wayne Beaton
Hey folks!

I've created the record for the 2020-06 Simultaneous Release
. As usual, I've used the
information that I have available to make my best guess at which version
you're releasing. If I've got something wrong, please first make sure that
you've created a release record with the right date and then let me know to
update the corresponding entry on the release page.

I noticed that several of the contributions are more than one year old
(some of them significantly more). I don't believe that it's necessarily
wrong to contribute stable content, but would like to make sure that
somebody is periodically testing configurations that include these
contributions to mitigate the risk that we ship broken content.

Eclipse Tools for Cloud Foundry (2018)
Eclipse BIRT (2017)
Eclipse Mylyn (2018)
Eclipse WindowBuilder (early 2019)
Eclipse Xpand (2016)
Eclipse Remote Systems Explorer (2018)
Eclipse EMFStore (2017)
Eclipse BPMN2 Model (2018)
Eclipse BPEL Designer (2018)
Eclipse ACTF (2017)
