Excellent point Mark. But I find it terribly difficult for people to
protect our children from "homosexuals", call them perverse and so forth.
Then when someone turns around and tries to stop the hate, everyone calls it
a "Gestapo maneuver". I don't try to push my opinions on others. I just
think my attempts here are more aimed towards it just being another news
item, and it not publicly blasted across my bandwidth

Nate, are you looking at this as a "gay" issue? I believe it begins at a

EQUAL

Accusing people of belonging to the Moral Majority because they have

unlike your anothers is puzzling to me. I don't mind gays, but why do I
have to
hear about it all the time? If it's truly about wanting equality, good, but
if
it's just mere lifestyle promotion, enough already. I'm not pushing my

a case of teaching open-mindedness then I think
those ideas would be taught in school as well.

Sex - interesting! You do not need to know anything

it is the only sport in which both people are able

Sex - as an art done in multiple formats? The art
is in keeping the relationship going. I can have
more fun with my mate, in an horizontal position,
feet away, with my clothes on, sans sexual connotations

To believe that power is in cuss words, sex powers,

FRAMINGHAM -- School Superintendent Mark Smith, reacting to the Boy Scouts'
ban on gays, says he will no longer allow the organization's local chapter
to hand out information or recruit members on school grounds.

The chapter, called the Knox Trail Council, will still be able to hold
meetings in Framingham school buildings, providing they don't send children
home with any information about the Boy Scouts.

Smith said his decision was prompted by the local council's support of the
Boy Scouts of America's policy of excluding both gay scout leaders and
 homosexual scouts.

Dennis Prefontaine, a scout executive, who met with Smith earlier this
month, was not available for comment.

Smith said Framingham's schools have a strong commitment to respecting
differences and diversity, and said the Boy Scouts' policy to exclude
certain people is in direct conflict with those standards.

He said he would take the same stance against any group that excludes
people on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity or sex.

So far, Smith has not banned any other groups from disseminating
 information through the schools.

"This is not targeted at the Boy Scouts," said Smith, who has been weighing
the new policy since the high court ruling was handed down in June. "In
fact, my hope would be that the local or national chapter would change
their policy. I think very highly of the Boy Scouts and what they do for
 children."

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled earlier this year that the Boy Scouts are
permitted to deny participation of a gay youth or adult because they are a
private organization, and therefore do not have to abide by laws
 prohibiting discrimination in public accommodations.

If the Knox Council does change it's mind and decides to support the
inclusion of all students, Smith said he would review the policy.

John Roberts, executive director of the Civil Liberties Union of
Massachusetts, said the School Department's new policy treads a fine line
between upholding the rights of students and the Council's First Amendment
rights to freedom of assembly and free expression.

"It's a very interesting cut here," said Roberts. "It's a clash of
 constitutional principles."

Because Framingham's School Department has a policy of inclusion, Roberts
said it may refuse the Boy Scouts permission to hand out material on school
grounds that contradicts that policy. But he said the department may not
keep them from using school buildings.

Smith said that is exactly the reason the decision was made the way it was.

Smith said he spoke with school principals and members of the School
Committee about the controversy before issuing the policy. He said they
agreed that the Scouts' position fails to benefit students educationally or
enhance the schools' curriculum -- key criteria of the schools'
 solicitation policy.

Smith said it's possible that the School Committee might review the
building policy that grants use of grounds and buildings to various
 groups. Currently the

Begin on a local America for I say this, you attack the Boy Scouts, you

If the queers want "boy scouts"..let them form their ownonly
they will need to merge with their own little girl scouts.hard to

Now I was kicked out of the Girl Scouts for me, I do not like to be

So I quit - right before they called me down for calling the old bat

talk about stupid.

So The Crap Stops Hererun on local levels, boycott United Appeals
for these bastards make big bucks here taking big chunk off top.

Boycott anyone who dares lay a hand on a boy scout..how many little

No - it is the Boy Scout Leader who wants to symbolize the epitome of
manliness - like Barney Frank.

Remember that big yellow chicken on a football field or baseball field
that punched out Barney?

The big chicken got on TV, and he sat in a chair with his littls legs

The big yellow chicken still in dress feathrs said because I was getting

That is how I feel now like Big Yellow Bird ready to tak a punch at some

Where Are You Now That We Need you..

So what will they do - put the boys in the girl scouts, and the girls in

Like Janet Reno, where the hell would they put the bull moose Reno?

Would you want your little golden haired darling in a tent with that

Re: [CTRL] School bans Boy Scouts recruitment

2000-09-03 Thread Nate Fischer

So Bill Ball - The Crap Stops here with the people - and we start by
flushing that bunch out of our congress, white house and schools.

Begin on a local America for I say this, you attack the Boy Scouts, you
are attacking our children.

BULL CRAP. Like the crap you speak of. I was not a Boy Scout, and I was a
child. If you attack the Boy Scouts, you attack an organization that hands
the morals of YOUR GENERATION. Perhaps they are not needed anymore.

If the queers want "boy scouts"..let them form their ownonly
they will need to merge with their own little girl scouts.hard to
tell who will play who.

Now that is uncalled for. So have you formed "Gestapo Scouts" as Bill
refers to, to help promote your goals.

Now I was kicked out of the Girl Scouts for me, I do not like to be
bullied by someone whom Iknow to be dumber than I am.

Yeah, and now here you are, promoting your small militia type tactics to
get what you want. Refer to my old post about having hissy fits when they
don't get their way.

So I quit - right before they called me down for calling the old bat
Horse Face.Todoay I find Girl Scouts admit lesbians are are not
involved with Boy Scouts..no wonder I did not like that bunch, and
talk about stupid.

So The Crap Stops Hererun on local levels, boycott United Appeals
for these bastards make big bucks here taking big chunk off top.

Boycott anyone who dares lay a hand on a boy scout..how many little
homos do we have out there running around that really want to be a boy
scout?

Stop associating pedophiles with homosexuals. What is wrong with this
world. I hate pedophiles as much as the next person, but a very small
percentage of homosexuals are pedophiles. Most pedophiles like to touch
children. Most homosexuals I know, are kind caring individuals who give to
the community where they can and should not be associated with these sick
individuals.

No - it is the Boy Scout Leader who wants to symbolize the epitome of
manliness - like Barney Frank.

My mother always told me not to say anything bad to people, unless you have
met them in person and got to know them. I have met Barney Frank, and he is
not what you say.

Remember that big yellow chicken on a football field or baseball field
that punched out Barney?

The big chicken got on TV, and he sat in a chair with his littls legs
crossed and was asked - why did you do it.

The big yellow chicken still in dress feathrs said because I was getting
sick of that guy.

That is how I feel now like Big Yellow Bird ready to tak a punch at some
of these perverts - one in particular, a child molestor queer who wants
to be boy scout to pay for his past indiscretions.Big Bird,
Where Are You Now That We Need you..

So what will they do - put the boys in the girl scouts, and the girls in
the boy scouts? Does that make sense?

Like Janet Reno, where the hell would they put the bull moose Reno?

Would you want your little golden haired darling in a tent with that
oald bat all night?

I know how some of these people operate for when I worked in a
Court..you would someday see what I saw.and oh how they cry,
when they get caughtbuying little children.

Ohhh, A. what to do with you, you scare me, more than all of the
homosexuals I know put together.

Friends,

Number one, after reading your post here, I couldn't consider you to be
one of my friends.

This crap must stop - and immediately. None of the "organizations"
and "authorities" who are now acting like gestapo agents against the
Boy Scouts of America seem not to realize that they do not have a dime
to distribute or control except for the contributions or taxes of thousands
of citizens who very likely feel very differently.

I don't know where you live, but in MA, many of the "taxpaying" citizens
had no issues when the school board in Framingham passed the inclusion of
"sexual orientation" in their discrimination text.

And, school "boards" and "authorities" had better listen up and
come to a realization they are NOT in fact the Gestapo Headquarters
in determining what rules, edicts and demands are to be followed by
parents and students alike simply because they say so.

Yes, god forbid that the school board act as "Gestapo agents" like the
rest of people like you. If we can all remember back to the Hitler regime
and their "we are better than you" concepts, actions of the BSA start to
strike home.

Folks, you'd better start applying some very strong pressure to the
authoritarian nut cases in our country who believe that they run things
and decide whether or not "they" will support a particular organization,
simply because these groups stand up for what we all know to be
MORALLY RIGHT.

The last time I checked, every person has the opportunity to attend the
board meetings and speak their mind. Your concept of "MORALLY RIGHT" is
very skewed. Perhaps individuals like yourself need to wake up. A new
generation of young people have no issues with the need for individuality.
They accept people for who they are, no some skewed perception of morals
that your generation has created. And besides aren't morals created by the
majority of a population. Your perspective is becoming less of a majority.

School Superintendent Mark Smith desperately needs to be sent packing,
as the first in a long line of despots who are not afraid to make these
kinds
of lunatic unilateral decisions which fly in the face of what every
traditional
American knows to be true and just.

Now I am not a traditional American. All because I don't agree with your
viewpoints. I stand back, view the situation, and congratulate Mark Smith
and his school board for the decision that they have made. It is about time
that people stand up for what they believe in, not some skewed perception of
traditions and morals that your generation has created. I think like any
human being, you are upset that the world that you helped to create for a
younger generation is not going the way you like it, and now you are having
a hissy fit.

Remember that all parents have the choice to raise their children the way
they see fit, and you have "options." Wow there's a concept. If you don't
like the way the school board is running things, you have the option to
withdraw your children, home school them, or send them to a parochial
school. And if you don't have children, then sit back with me and look at
other conspiracies the government is involved in that are KILLING OUR
CIVILIANS, rather than wasting your efforts on something like this.
Homosexual populations estimates range from anywhere from 5-10% of our
population, and I can't see why the government would have an interest in
increasing that population rather than getting itself involved in much more
profitable and highly secret plots and conspiracies.

In the meantime, STOP WASTING MY BANDWIDTH WITH "YOUR CRAP"

This crap MUST STOP.

FRAMINGHAM -- School Superintendent Mark Smith, reacting to the Boy

The chapter, called the Knox Trail Council, will still be able to hold
meetings in Framingham school buildings, providing they don't send
children
home with any information about the Boy Scouts.

Smith said his decision was prompted by the local council's support of
the
Boy Scouts of America's policy of excluding both gay scout leaders and
  homosexual scouts.

He said he would take the same stance against any group that excludes
people on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity or
sex.

So far, Smith has not banned any other groups from disseminating
  information through the schools.

"This is not targeted at the Boy Scouts," said Smith, who has been
weighing
the new policy since the high court ruling was handed down in June. "In
fact, my hope would be that the local or national chapter would change
their policy. I think very highly of the Boy Scouts and what they do
for
  children."

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled earlier this year that the Boy Scouts are
permitted to deny participation of a gay youth or adult because they are
a
private organization, and therefore do not have to abide by laws
  prohibiting discrimination in public accommodations.

If the Knox Council does change it's mind and decides to support the
inclusion of all students, Smith said he would review the policy.

John Roberts, executive director of the Civil Liberties Union of
Massachusetts, said the School Department's new policy treads a fine
line
between upholding the rights of students and the Council's First
Amendment
rights to freedom of assembly and free expression.

"It's a very interesting cut here," said Roberts. "It's a clash of
  constitutional principles."

Because Framingham's School Department has a policy of inclusion,
Roberts
said it may refuse the Boy Scouts permission to hand out material on
school
grounds that contradicts that policy. But he said the department may
not
keep them from using school buildings.

Smith said that is exactly the reason the decision was made the way it
was.

The gays could call their organization the Rump Rangers. ;)

2000-09-03 Thread BB

That's fine, NATE FISCHER - it is you who have chosen to make of me an
enemy. I greet you as friend, and you announce to the world, like a typical
liberal blatherer, that I am not so. Fine. YOU have made the choice.

Your comments reveal you to be one of the crowd who gets their jollies
by becoming round-shouldered from patting the current establishment on the
back for their "great courage" and "strong stands." Hurray for you and them too,

but since you seem to have about a 1% grasp of dictatorships, and the Hitler
era in paticular, the citizenry LOVED Hitler, and openly wept tears of adoration
and joy when that lunatic monster appeared in their midst, and they loved "der
fuehrer"
when he took a "strong stand," and decided for the nation what it is that they,
and the state, believed and stood for. You would have loved the emperor's
new clothes.

Now, not to overlook the obvious, but every pro-American, conservative list
seems
to have it's one self-appointed "crap-stirrer" - who would rather foment discord
amongst the
members, than to have them realize the truth of what's going on around them.
You seem to be the one on this site. Don't discuss the issues - kill the
messenger.
Maybe the Massachusetts explains it somewhat.

To quote yourself, "The last time I checked" -- NOBODY DIED and
LEFT YOU BOSS -- so why you feel it's your duty to be rude, nasty and
attempt to bawl me out in public when I am only noticing the obvious,
raises real questions about YOUR MOTIVES.

A new
generation of young people have no issues with the need for individuality..

You want to know what happened to MA, it is one of those coastal provinces
you refer to, where people actually get along with one another and refuse to
become godless commies. Those of you out there who believe that homosexuals
are sick twisted bastards who don't belong to the moral majority are the
 commies.

Nate, are you looking at this as a "gay" issue? I believe it begins at a more
fundamental level. The 14th Amendment to the US Constitution provides for EQUAL
protection under the law, not greater protection. The 1st Amendment provides
for freedom of speech and association. You're free to try and persuade people,
but you can't legislate morality. It must come from within and every individual
has his own philosophy, whether he knows it or not. I like Alexander Berkman's
words, "No opinion a law--no opinion a crime."

Accusing people of belonging to the Moral Majority because they have preferences
unlike your anothers is puzzling to me. I don't mind gays, but why do I have to
hear about it all the time? If it's truly about wanting equality, good, but if
it's just mere lifestyle promotion, enough already. I'm not pushing my beliefs
on others and I'd appreciate reciprocity.

For the same reason that gays have to hear about the heterosexual
lifestyle all the time. It's part of life.
