On Wed, Jul 24, 2019 at 10:51:03PM +0200 I heard the voice of Rhialto, and lo! it spake thus: > > I saw something about forcing focus on unwilling windows. > I also noticed that my xload windows don't get focus any more (the title > bar doesn't show it, and my keyboard shortcuts for depth manipulation > don't work on it). I guess the second is not intentional, given the > first? The only focus thing in 4.0.3 was some dealing with applications that _re_set WM_HINTS at runtime; I don't see how that would affect things. And 4.0.3 is just trunk as of last fall before the RANDR changes, plus the OTP crashfix, so it's probably code you've been running a while anyway. For that matter, 4.0.2 only had the focus tweak that affected firefox menus and the like; the last big readjustments we did were in 4.0.0. So, I guess the question is the time span of "any more". -- Matthew Fuller (MF4839) | fulle...@over-yonder.net Systems/Network Administrator | http://www.over-yonder.net/~fullermd/ On the Internet, nobody can hear you scream.

4.0.3 release announcement
Welcome to the world, CTWM 4.0.3 release. This is a minor bugfix update to 4.0.2 release. It includes a couple of minor bugfixes done following 4.0.2, and a fix for crashes in OTP triggered by fullscreen windows with transients. See CHANGES in the tarball or on the website for details. The release is available now in the website as both .tar.xz and .tar.gz. The .xz is meaningfully smaller, the .gz may be useful on systems lacking xz support. ctwm-4.0.3.tar.xz: MD5: 545baf676d93250fe2ab8399dd355b72 SHA256: 2e4b475a0168cb799723fd693b359e188179e51ce476ab453689db8fcdfc800c ctwm-4.0.3.tar.gz: MD5: dcf833dff76992a48d1a12ac86532acb SHA256: ddecd4530fd1efa2d19d594d9803e6e9f15788396f891c3195d5ad232052e017 -- Matthew Fuller (MF4839) | fulle...@over-yonder.net Systems/Network Administrator | http://www.over-yonder.net/~fullermd/ On the Internet, nobody can hear you scream.
