Sure and while fun, it's a bandaid, a non-fix to the underlying

ok, this was great motion

i think vanilla models have a maximum sequence length. this can be
expanded by altering the algorithm to not be O(n^2) for memory in the
attention function. there's a paper out there on one approach to
this.

another idea is to chunk the text in some way and train models to
handle the chunked text. that could also become two small projects
instead of one if something like reinforcement learning is used to
make that effective.

Appeals court rules FCC can open up 6GHz band for Wi-Fi 6E - The Verge

https://www.theverge.com/2021/12/28/22857852/6ghz-wifi-win-fcc-wi-fi-6e-7-att-spectrum

While Wi-Fi 6 connections make more reliable and efficient use of the same
spectrum that’s been in use for the last couple of decades, especially when
multiple devices are connected, Wi-Fi 6E routers will work at 2.4GHz and 5GHz
plus the new 6GHz band. That has enough room for up to seven maximum capacity
Wi-Fi streams to broadcast in the same area at once without interfering with
each other or using any existing spectrum.

RELATED

Wi-Fi is getting its biggest upgrade in 20 years

WI-FI’S WEIRD NAMING SCHEME:

Until recently, Wi-Fi generations were referred to by an arcane naming scheme
that required you to understand whether 802.11n was faster than 802.11ac, and
whether 802.11ac was faster than 802.11af, and whether any of those names were
just made up nonsense. (Answer: sort of.)

To fix that, the Wi-Fi Alliance decided to rename Wi-Fi generations with simple
version numbers. So the current generation of Wi-Fi, 802.11ac, turned into
Wi-Fi 5. This new generation, previously called 802.11ax, is now Wi-Fi 6.

You probably won’t hear the Wi-Fi 5 name used very much since it’s been around
for five years and just got that name in October 2018. For Wi-Fi 6, you might
see the 802.11ax name here and there, but companies largely seem to be on board
with using the simplified naming scheme.

Beyond that, there’s already work on a future standard, known as IEEE 802.11be
or Wi-Fi 7. That could further optimize the use of the new band with even
larger 320MHz channels, 46 Gbps maximum transfer rates, and more, but it’s not
scheduled to be complete until 2024 (pdf).

Re: [crazy][hobby][spam] Automated Reverse Engineering

note: the huggingface demo passes information to the model using token ids
token ids are just indexed sets of character orders that occur
together frequently (the tokenizer counts and decides these)

with something based on math, since it's going to be learning using
linear algebra, i'm wondering if it might make sense to retain the
numeric value of the inputs. this could mean bypassing the use of
integer input ids.

the integer input ids are converted into high-dimensioned vectors
using an 'embedding' matrix at the very start of the model. this
matrix could be hand-altered by finding its property in the model, or
removed/skipped entirely. a thought.

the coefficients in the embedding matrix are trained via
backpropagated gradients to determine the vectors. i think they end
up being roughly random with some of their dimensions clustering
similar data near each other and such.

0.5% is enough to get open chips rolling out the door
to funders and millions of paying customers. Ending
closed could happen, look at all the open on (centralised)
github that didn't exist at all 10+ years ago. But what
must happen is putting down the $$$ to get the first
one going, to put open chips out into the free market,
that is the seed.

So go crowdfund and spend another trivial 0.01% to do that too.
However fuzzing and exhaustively probing is hard, not least
because today's instruction and data bus and transistor spaces
require 2^n ops, reaching atoms in the universe levels.
And all the effort is good for only whatever closed chips you test
all of which get obsoleted as new secret ones drop every year.

Decades and decades of CVE's against closed GovCorp shitHW.
Whack-a-mole and embarrassment are not solving the problem.

#OpenFabs , #OpenHW , #OpenAudit , #FormalVerification

Those must all be crowdfunded started up and tried.

The reason I picked a TPU, google cloud oriented tutorial, is because
google has a 1 month research program for access to higher level tpus.
So, if something basic is set up, then it can be upgraded for free for

Y'know, I haven't personally tried it, but there's a pretty good chance
that ending most closed hardware and software is just as far away as
training transformer models to automatically reverse them. The biggest
impetuses to that are collecting example data and setting up the training

Consider that similar to ethernet/wifi HW mac addresses...
Except for a hands-on check, it wouldn't strictly have to be a power
cycle permanent IMEI change (some ethernet/wifi HW can be hard
reprogrammed like that with software tools), but if it's not power cycle
permanent then it must never listen to nor transmit on the original IMEI,
all listen and especially transmit must not happen until the radio (interface)
is soft configured with the new IMEI and brought up.
Soft config can therein be a problem because, similar to ethernet/wifi
which has wake-on-lan AMT and other top secret insecure always on
side channel management features, IMEI baseband has been said
to be similarly listening, and perhaps transmitting in reply, all the
time too. In that case the window between hands-on power up and
soft config would be a problem. Also, other than "regulatory"
requirements, "airplane mode" may similarly be always-listening-to-reply
baseband suspect. People would have to investigate all that.

And without crowdfunding and starting up
#OpenFabs , #OpenHW , #OpenAudit
which is the better way forward, and which you can now easily
startup via the global crypto crowd (over 2.5T mktcap, go
spend 0.5%, ending secret closed HW better than hodling),
you're just not ever going to know what's inside.

   - As we discussed together today, Ms. Karen P. Seymour is no longer with

   - The agreement outlines that Ms. Seymour having complete and full

Keeping all this in mind, and given Ms. Seymour is no longer with the firm,

Biden ran on a promise: He was going to federalize the COVID response
and end COVID in America. He introduced vaccine mandates for federal
employees and those doing business with the federal government and had
OSHA do the same for every business with more than 100 employees.
Various states, cities, and businesses, especially when it came to
healthcare, followed suit. We were also told that, if we even breathed
the same air as a COVID person, we had to quarantine ourselves for ten
days. In the last two days, that promised federal response, COVID
mandates, and quarantines have all fallen apart, thanks to the very
contagious but seemingly relatively harmless Omicron variant.

Biden made a lot of promises during the campaign and the media
graciously refused to demand details:

I'm not going to shut down the country.

I'm not going to shut down the economy.

I'm going to shut down the virus.
— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) October 30, 2020

We're eight months into this pandemic, and Donald Trump still
doesn't have a plan to get this virus under control.

I do.
— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) October 16, 2020

Those claims—that Biden would use the federal government to end the
pandemic—went a long way with people weary of 2020’s madness. On
Monday, after a COVID year more deadly and dispiriting than 2020,
Biden admitted that the federal government can’t fix things:

Joe Biden on covid: “There is no federal solution. This gets
solved at a state level.” pic.twitter.com/ufg7qDXzQ0
— RealMac (@beingrealmac) December 27, 2021

Trump, of course, said from the beginning that his role as president
was to support the states because each state was best equipped to
handle COVID as it presented within that state.

Meanwhile, as Omicron spreads, especially in New York City, one of the
most vaccinated places in America, other Democrat-driven initiatives
are falling. The CDC has had to shorten by 50% its COVID isolation and
quarantine period recommendations, reflecting (a) that Omicron seems
to be a cold and (b) that America can’t shut down because of a cold:

U.S. health officials on Monday cut isolation restrictions for
Americans who catch the coronavirus from 10 to five days, and
similarly shortened the time that close contacts need to quarantine.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention officials said the
guidance is in keeping with growing evidence that people with the
coronavirus are most infectious in the two days before and three days
after symptoms develop.

The decision also was driven by a recent surge in COVID-19 cases,
propelled by the omicron variant.

Early research suggests omicron may cause milder illnesses than
earlier versions of the coronavirus. But the sheer number of people
becoming infected — and therefore having to isolate or quarantine —
threatens to crush the ability of hospitals, airlines and other
businesses to stay open, experts say.

Image: Omicron by Alexandra Koch. Pixabay license.

And finally, and most ironically, as Omicron cases increase, hospitals
are facing staff shortages because their ludicrous, unscientific
vaccine mandates saw them firing thousands of employees. Last week,
the CDC updated a document entitled “Strategies to Mitigate Healthcare
Personnel Staffing Shortages.” It appears that more than 13 states are
struggling to deal with Omicron cases because of staff shortages.
Interestingly, the Forbes article to which I linked talks about staff
burnout and more patients as reasons for the shortage but makes no
mention of mass firings. Funny that.

The point is that Democrats made pie in the sky promises and
completely failed to make good on them. More people died from COVID
under Biden than under Trump, Biden’s had to admit that Trump’s
state-based approach was the correct one, unreasonably long
quarantines are becoming impossible to maintain, and all the things
that Democrats, and Democrat-driven

France Forces Millions To Work From Home, Xi'an Starves As Omicron
Lockdown Bites

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10349531/China-Covid-Xian-residents-starving-lockdown-rules-tightened.html
https://twitter.com/libsoftiktok/status/1475638264920883201

The world counted a record number of new COVID cases over the 24 hours
to Monday, smashing a record for new cases reported while
hospitalizations and deaths have remained surprisingly subdued.

Despite that, the omicron-driven winter wave is prompting some
governments to impose new restrictions on the economy, most notably
France, which will now require local businesses to require all
white-collar workers who are able to work from home for most of next
month, if not longer.

The new measures are intended to combat what French authorities have
described as an omicron-induced "megawave". Starting from next week,
working from home will become mandatory for those who are able.
Additionally, public gatherings will be limited to 2K people for
indoor events. This comes as France reports more than 100K cases over
the weekend.

Elsewhere, in NYC, residents are suffering through the second day of
vaccine mandates for private businesses. Footage of police arresting
the unvaccinated inside a Burger King in the city is already going
viral on social media.

Moving on, the outbreak in the northwestern Chinese city of Xi'an has
continued to worsen. Already, some among the 13M residents who have
been locked down for a week already are running out of food, according
to the Daily Mail.

These people - some of whom say they are "starving" - aren't allowed
to venture outdoors for any reason, including for buying food and
other supplies. Previously, one member of each household was allowed
out once every two days to buy food. City officials said people in
"low risk" areas will be allowed to buy essentials once testing is
complete and if their results are negative.

Xi'an reported 175 new cases on Tuesday, a paltry figure compared to
other large cities around the world, but a substantial number in
China, which still favors its "Zero COVID" approach even in the face
of a less deadly, more infectious, variant. Nearby cities have also
logged cases linked to the flare-up, including Yan'an, which is
situated about 185M from Xi'an. Authorities asked people to stay home
and businesses not to open in that city Tuesday.

People in Xi'an may face up to 10 days in police detention and fines
of up to $75 if they are caught leaving their home for any reason
other than to get tested or for a medical emergency.

Finally, India may see a spurt in Covid-19 growth rate within days and
head into an intense but short-lived wave as the omicron variant moves
through the crowded nation of almost 1.4 billion, according to a team
of researchers at the University of Cambridge who developed a Covid-19
India tracker.

overinterpreted as it does not distinguish between people who are
hospitalised for COVID-19-related illnesses and those who receive
medical care for other reasons but then test positive.

Chris Hopson, CEO at NHS Providers, a membership organisation for NHS
(National Health Service) trusts in England, said there has been an
increase in the number of patients in hospital with COVID-19, but
warned against misinterpreting the data.

He said:

“In the previous peaks, we’ve had some very seriously ill older
people who’ve got really significant respiratory problems and … they
had to go into critical care.

“The difference this time is we’ve got quite a few patients who
are coming in—they might have fallen off their bike and knocked their
head or broken their leg—and what’s happening is they’ve got no
symptoms but when they arrive, they’re actually testing positive for
COVID.

“Interestingly, the statistics that we use don’t actually
distinguish between those two. So we just need to be careful about
overinterpreting the data.”

Despite the rising number of people in hospital who have tested
positive for the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, Hopson said that
UK hospitals “are still waiting to see—are we going to see a
significant number of increases in terms of the number of patients
coming into hospital with serious Omicron-related disease.”

He also said that staff absences could pose a bigger challenge to the
health service than patients needing treatment for COVID-19.

Other British experts have also cast doubt on the reliability of
official COVID-19 data.

Professor Sir Andrew Pollard, director of the Oxford Vaccine Group,
said in October that raw data on COVID-19 cases and deaths are “quite
misleading.”

He told the House of Commons that it is not appropriate to compare
positive case numbers between the UK and other countries because the
country’s high case rate is “partly related to very high testing.”

Compared with case numbers, Pollard said it is more important to look
at hospital admissions and deaths.

Even with deaths, Pollard said the raw data are “quite misleading,”
because it is recorded as being within 28 days of a positive COVID-19
test. When transmission is high, lots of people who test positive for
COVID-19 will have actually died from other causes, he said.

He said hospital admissions now are “quite a different story from last
year,” with the vast majority of people now going in having shorter
hospital stays and much milder disease.

New York State Department of Financial Services
Honorable Superintendent Ms. Linda Lacewell

Re: Bank.org Shelf Charter

Dear Madam Superintendent:

xNY.io and Bank.org must innovate
beyond market manipulation and cross-border computer crimes that present
serious risks, both to consumers and to the safety and soundness of
financial services institutions. As the cryptocurrency markets continue to
evolve, the New York Department of Financial Services (NY-DFS) has directed
virtual currency companies like xNY.io to take the
necessary steps to guard against fraud and to be extra vigilant about
manipulation.

Today’s memo aims to innovate the market and can only evolve with your
strong regulatory supervision. xNY.io ’s recent Tech
Sprint Submission
,
“A Design Mechanism to Report Digital Regulatory Computer Crimes,” was
filed with your esteemed office on March 2, 2021. xNY.io
has discussed the matter of marketplace manipulation with the NY-DFS
innovation team. We have both agreed marketplace manipulation is an issue
and specifically affects xNY.io and Bank.org’
s bottom line.

Our mutual moods seemed aligned on innovation. However, there is an air of
dienfranchiemt.

Madam Superintendent, recently I published an Open Letter to Bloomberg on
Modern BitLicense Logic
.
Some BitLicensees candidly offer feedback regarding New York State borders.
There seems to be some confusion concerning the BitLicense’s jurisdictional
reach and given that xNY.io and Bank.org
’s business falls under DFS surveillance and the USA
PATRIOT Act, Congress amended the definition of “protected computer” to
make clear that this term includes computers outside of the United States
so long as they affect “interstate or foreign commerce or communication of
the United States.” 18 U.S.C. § 1030(e)(2)(B) (2001).

This change addresses situations where an attacker within the United States
attacks a computer system located abroad and situations in which
individuals in foreign countries route communications through the United
States as they hack from one foreign country to another. Both situations
can therefore be violations of section 1030. As such, it would seem that
BitLicensees are subject to New York Law while operating outside of New
York (including Human Rights Law ).

The utility of virtual currency is cross-border. New York is not a walled
garden for bad actors to camp while profiting off of the back of xNY.io
 and Bank.org

wrongfully across global markets. The textbook definition of marketplace
manipulation has been discussed with the patient Ms. Seema Shah, a DFS
innovation leader whom we look forward to consulting with over days and
weeks to come.

Meanwhile, it is our observation that the Bitcoin Blockchain has been
targeted by New York firms licenced by your office, such as Ripple and
Goldman Sachs. In Africa, we experienced how these various actions affected
the integrity of our global enterprise.

The Supreme Court placed emphasis on the central role of deception to

I think this will work out okay. You have to have thid point of view.
