Hi Sudhir,
you can use darktable for raw processing and then another software for
photo-stack.
StarStax  is
available also for Linux and Mac (you don't tell us what kind of OS you
have) but you can merge the shots also in GIMP

Afaik, Darktable doesn't have provisions for stacking. 

But are you interested in astro-photography or nightscapes? The former often 
uses specialised programs (e.g. http://deepskystacker.free.fr/english/
index.html), as there are quite a few of steps to the process (darkframe 
subtraction, registration/aligning of the images, then the stacking itself).

For the latter, something like Hugin (http://hugin.sourceforge.net/) might do 
the trick (although 25 images is a lot). Don't be fooled by the presentation 
as a panorama stitcher, that's just the use it initially was developed for.
